cliff notes:
Mr And Mrs Campbell have a little boy.. they name him Adolph Hitler Campbell.. then act self righteous and surprised when they have problems as a result.
PS: reason #9578 to hate wal-mart
-
how the heck do you name your kid then get upset when people have a problem with it....
you can name him adolf thats juts a name, but think of another middle name for god sake.
how stupid can people be, oh lets name our kid after a tyranical mass murderer, but don't worry he won't be teased about, people won't have a problem with it and oh yeah he won't do what the first adolf hitler did.
i swear the world is getting dumber and dumber everyday, nothing suprises me anymore
-
the jerk off parents are tards, plain and simple they gave their kids those names for the attention and because they thought they were being cool.
but do you have any idea how many lawsuits the parents and the kids are gonna win in the future? every time someone denies the child anything because of his name they are opening themselves up to a suit. it would be the same thing if anyone of us told a man named osama that he cant have what he wants because his name is inappropriate. trust me there are already at least 100 different law firms calling that family to convince them to allow thier firm to represent them. i would be willing to bet the ACLU is all over it also.
people tend to forget it, but we Caucasians are a race. we have our history for good and for bad and we have a right to celebrate and honor it as we chose. so even when it is over something as stupid as this the ACLU will drag it into federal court as fast as you can goose step your way up the stairs.

Wow. Can you imagine the psychological damage the child is going to suffer?
-
Whew, poor kid .Someone forgot to take History class. :huh
-
He'll probably run for president!
-
Ya know, I wouldn't be surprised if the parents didn't suffer from some sort of extreme passive aggressive disorder.. like they WANT people to have a problem, so they can get defensive and all pissed off..
like the kid in high school who always stood with is foot stuck out in the hall, hoping someone would step on it.
-
Kid's gonna have some harsh highschool years... if he gets friends, maybe not so much, IF.
-
The Father says he's not a racist(Nazi) and I kind of believe him. When I saw the family photo I thought they were a lesbian couple at first. Unless the Nazis have lowered their standards, I would have to say that this guy is nothing more than an attention getting retard.
It reminds of a movie I saw a long time ago but can't remember the name. This guys Mother was pretending to die and her dying wish was that her son name her grandson "Benito".

JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell
Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell, a girl named for Schutzstaffel head Heinrich Himmler
I sense a pattern here.
How hard is it to decorate a cake?
Dad sports a mean mullet too.

Bout 3 years ago in hawaii some parents named thier kid Tula Doesthe Hula, the state declared the kid a ward of the state and changed the name to something normal
-
Hahahaha. I love how they try to pretend they don't support white power when they name of their kids 'Aryan Nation'. Hahahahah
I don't give a flying pig watermelon about it, just have the balls to stand up and say "Yes, this is what I believe in" and not play all "oh, it's just a name... no one else will have it".
Weak.

Maybe they are just looking for $$$. I see them suing someone in the future for not letting little Adolf do this or that because of his name.
-
Oh Wow..... I just read this article out loud for the staff, which includes members of the military and private government.... Sadly, the rest of my day will not be the same.
The terrible truth Nilsen, is they could probably win that case. We have too much freedom in this country called the USA.

I almost have to laugh, or else I would :cry
The following things require tests, before one is allowed to have them...
Drivers License
Hunting License
Fishing License
Marriage License
Anyone in favor of, or opposed to having a Breeding license?
Maybe even put limits on it like a hunting or fishing license.
.......We're sorry Mr. & Mrs. Smith, but your county has reached it's quota of idiot permits for the year, please try again next year...........

I actually think the name should be legal, but calling your kid by a name like this should fall under some child abuse paragraf.
-
WTF!? Man, there's some stupid people out there. Why didn't they just name the kid Satan and be done with it?
-
Could it be...............hmmmmmmmmmmm m..........
SATAN??????

actually, i don't know if it is still on the books but there was a law forbidding naming a child Satan Beelzebub, or Lucifer at one time.
but that was way back when the church's opinion was weighted heavily in the making of the laws of the land. it wouldn't surprise me if they had been repealed by now.
these kids will make big money from law suits in the future, dont fool yourselves about it. they will have the private numbers of the top 10 attorneys at the ACLU on speed dial.
this birthday cake thing will only be the first round fired. it will go on with each kid for a long time to come.

Gee another Law. Thats just what we need.
-
I just feel bad for the kids. Like someone else said this is going to screw with their heads. They basically have been turned into a tool of their parents to get attention kind of like those twin girls who sing nazi songs.
-
What the hell kind of middle name is 'Aryan Nation'? They didn't even try for that one.
-
What I want to know is how did the name get approved in the first place..... (is there a seperate department for each part of a name or something, we all know how our government departments share information) I ask this because my kids have the name king as in theirs (family name of mother) and I had to prove the origin of this name through her families history. If the government accepts the name then .......
-
You actually have to get approval from your government for the name you pick for your child?
-
When I was still at SOE, there was a kid we banned from one of our games because he had named his character "Adolf Hittler". After repeated attempts to get him to change his name, he refused so we banned him. He then emails us and informs us that it's his real name, so we thought we'd catch him in a lie and asked him to photocopy his birth certificate and email it to us and if it checks out, we'll restore his character. About a week later, we get a letter from him with a photocopy of his Austrian birth certificate and drivers license and sure enough, his name was Adolf Hittler and we had to restore his account.
For some reason, people who name their kids after people like Hitler remind me of that old Far Side comic where two bears are standing next to each other, one of them with a birth mark of a target on his stomach when the other bear turns to him and says, "bummer of a birth mark."
ack-ack

Not that I'm aware of in NZ.

Oh, the missed opportunities...
Pol Pot Campbell
Vlad "the Impaler" Campbell
Benito Mussolini Campbell
Joseph Stalin Campbell
Genghis Khampbell
:D :D :D

IDK what's worse, being named after a tyrant or having the nickname of "Alf".

Quote from Article.
"Campbell said his ancestors are German and that he has lived his entire life in Hunterdon County. On Tuesday he wore a pair of black boots he said were worn by a German soldier during World War II."

Yep in NZ.

Yep in NZ.
Names do not need to be 'approved'. There is a list of names that are not suitable and can be declined for registration, such as titles, offensive terms etc.
-
Doesn't declined in a sense mean, not approved.
-
In the states the only thing you can't have as a name is a number, e.g. 23914. I read about a sociologist that tried to change his name to a number and the judge wouldn't allow it. :lol
-
Is within the rights of any parent to name their kid anything they want. If somebody doesnt like it then tought. When the kid comes of age, and if he wants to change it, its easily done. Its really none of our business what a parent names their kid.
I for one despise big government and its intrusion into our lives.

Unfortunately, the damage has already done when a child has come of age. A childhood full of ridicule, anger, rejections and personal attacks...
I personally despise "anything goes" parents that play the ego game with their kids.
Here in Germany there are a few rules what kind of first name you can give to your newborn:
- has to be clearly identifyable as a forename
- has to be clearly male or female (with a few traditional exceptions)
- is not allowed to violate the best interets of the child (for example by exposing the child to ridicule or by giving purely "evil" names)
- can't be a georaphical place
- can't me a title like "lord" or "princess"
Of course there is some room for interpretation, and thus there are a few lawsuits every year where disgruntled parents bring the decision of the Standesamt not to register a certain name in front of a judge. And sometimes, they win. ;)
There are still some kids with rather strange names out here, but names like "Adolf Hitle"r or "Aryan Nation" are be outright impossible. (But not Adolf as such!)

This is my favorite little Nazi. He's so adorable :rofl
