Will he threaten you if you don't shoot down 109s?

"Want to see Siberia up close?"

Well, if he does, he'll find himself in a one way trip down without a chute.  :t

Beautiful animal. I'm a big dog guy. Mostly Ive owned hunting dogs but since I had to put down my vizsla I just dont have the heart to hunt with another dog. Ive always admired Huskies but they belong with a certain kind of owner. I had a friend who had one and was just befuddled by it. A huskie is going to try you. Most of all a male one. Ive trained Chessie Bay retrievers and the temperaments of the two remind me of each other. Wonderful animals as long as they know who the boss is. Good luck with the pup.

Beautiful, I wanted one of those before we got ours.  I'll have to find a pic of the little fella for you he's half rat terrier and half feist (close cousin of the rat terriers and are mistaken for Jack Russell's, normally used for tree hunting squirrels)

I live with a Siberian Husky, black and gray, AKC registered thoroughbred (Not from a puppy mill!)
I have learned in the six years he has lived with me that you do not own a Siberian Husky, they own you.
I've had many types of dogs live with me in the past but the one thing that sticks in my mind about my husky is how
gentle, and docile, he is with children.

LOL!

My wife's pet cockatiel likes to sit on my shoulder when I fly.  Just about the time I get a target in position, he starts screaming in my ear with excitement.  It's like a Sidewinder missile seeker tone, but much, much louder.

We got some kinda South American bird. It aint a cockatoo but its something like that. Frankly I cant stand the thing but its interesting to see how our dogs accepted the bird into the family. It can walk all over and around them and they wont do a thing to it. If my vizsla was still around maybe different story. He was so looney I'd run him after pheasant and quail for four hours and when he got home he'd sit by the window till dark looking for more birds.

Out of curiosity, do you live in a warm climate?

I would love to own a real dog like that but given the hot summers we get here and the piss-weak 'winters' we get I think it's cruel to own a dog like that in this country.

During summer it would be stiffled 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Unless you have a pool and 24 hour air-con it would just be torture.

Eh, depends on the year...
Oregon can get hot (last summer we hit 107), but for the most part it's pretty chilled here. :D
We considered the summer issues with it, and figured our AC with maybe a couple fans would do him fine.

Your dog is beautiful!

I agree. :D
