Our boy, skpg, was carrying 63 unanswered kills.
But he got dinged at Bish A84. So he flopped in the water.
So the great Rook heroes of the Universe went and captured A84. Boom! Boom!
Nice work Rooks. Skpg walked away with all his kills.
Rooks be the best.

Pretty cool. Did he land them? Is it possible to ditch out of your plane and walk your pilot to the concrete on a friendly base and land kills?

How'd he land kills in the water? was he in a GV?

Let's clarify here. It was a 63 kill streak that was saved, not 63 kills in one mission. Well done everyone who participated.

It was impressive til you gave yourself a cramp with all the chest thumping.....
Wait....kill streak....Ive had that in the DA before on furball lake OUTNUMBERED.
Double :noid
-
that takes alot of dweebry
-
Wow. I just don't have the patience to do something like that. 2 kills and go land. I'll either do something stupid, like get bored and try deacking a large field, or attack bombers from dead 6, or auger in a rolling, looping fight too close to the ground.
I find it very difficult to go land if I still have ammo, or if no ammo, someone needs a distraction and I still have gas. Actually, I just find it difficult to land. Screwed up enough landings lately with kills where I do a S.A.P.P. landing and get a ditch.

Did you get a cookie?

Obviously he does not enter furballs unless he is diving through and zooming. Making a run like that is not so hard but you'll be timid as all get out.

How many of his fellow bait buddies had to die for him to survive all that time..... :lol

Dads, I ran mine up to 35 one camp and not one person was used for bait. But all, every single one was a pick. Not one fight in the bunch. Most were buffs. Still though the luck factor was there. For instance, I upped a p51 and was lone wolfing it. I saw some low b24s so I inned them and lightly pinged all three. The buff driver then turned too sharp and gave me 2 instant kills. I figured the guy was new so I sat on his 6 and wailed away on his last buff. Then I head to sea where our cv was flashing, all on the same sortie. Saw a formation of ki's and had the same thing happen. The whole camp was that way. Then in the next camp 2 of the my first 3 sorties ended when I crashed into a set of buffs. :rofl Then there are trees to crash into and buildings and killshooters. So my hats off to Skpd.
However Dads, there are many players who see their countrymen as bait and you may be right. I'm withholding that judgement on SKPD at this time. :salute

I'll just say I saw SKPG under us in the middle of a furball outnumbered 2 to 1 when he went down, turnin and burnin.
-
I seriously doubt if he does to much turning and burning. All his kills are in a p51d. He did that time which is why he went down that time.
-
Calling it the Greatest moment of Rook Glory is a bit of an overstatement, I was there, because it was the best fight at the moment. No offense to skpg, but capturing a base to save anyone's "kill streak" is last on the list for me, I'm glad it kept it in tact if that is important to him, but alot of the guys there were there simply for the fight.

Well I turn with my pony, and when I saw him don't know what he was flying, but he was in a low altitude turning fight. Which is all that I said.

Rook nation has degraded in quality.

Had to be a p51, the only thing he has kills in.
-
I don't think the Rooks in general have degraded in quality, it's just the number of dweebs ON ALL SIDES is astounding.
I have never, EVER turned to engage a plane more than 1.5K out and not have it end up in a HO. NEVER.

You've found the secret CAP :)
-
I'm willing to bet that skpg's kill streak is only surpassed by his streak of running and avoiding any 1v1 fight he encountered.
ack-ack
-
I was with Lazer one time when one of his 100+ streaks ended. We were having a good time. We were both in 38s and I think he ended up augering. Either way it was a lot of laughs.
Still can't figure out how he does it with a mouse.

That's what I saw, he was mixing it up with a few of them.

AckAck, why do you always got to be so cynical? heheh
Been flying Rook for about a year and a half and even tho they have degraded (IMO) over the last few months they still are a great country to fly in.
I've popped back and forth from country to country over the months and still think Rooks have some of the largest # of team oriented sim pilots, but something has changed. I'm not sure if it's a of lack of leadership with some of the top base taking squads or if the ones who did enjoy flying as a group have just decided furballing is less work and more fun.
I've been flying Righteous Vengeance lately and have found them to be an excellent squad for teamwork, honor and respect. They truly love organized fighter / Jabo sweeps and have the willingness to take on base defenses anywhere across the map. Being a smaller squad, they don't take a whole lot of bases but are always looking to help anyone who's trying.
To me, thats what makes the game fun and I'd love to see more of it again.

Every country goes through cycles. Rooks have never been a great base taking country though. They have Dredger and maybe a couple of others. Mostly they are just after the kills. Nothing wrong with that in MHO. If rooks are attacking a base with 30 rooks and you are on the ground defending you may only see one rook come in to strat the base. Everyone else will be above the clouds looking for that one poor guy to pick.
A couple of weeks ago I went to defend a base flying in at 15k. There was a full dar bar of rooks there. All over 22k. I think one actually dove in on me for just a second and then soared off into the wild blue yonder. I landed and rearmed hoping that maybe just maybe I might see some action. Once again I ran low on fuel and had to land. So I probably spent 90 minutes in the air and no action while there was a full dar bar of rooks. In fact they were so high we launched 2 successful missions under them. :rofl :rofl
It wouldn't be a good time to be Bish right now. We've proven so successful that both countries hit us in mass. Not so much to win the map but to keep us from winning. On Titanic Tuesday, as one of my squadies pointed out, we had 14 bases flashing while the Rooks and Knits only had 2 bases flashing. This is not a complaint but a compliment to the Bish.
-
We dont fly as many missions cause they are mostly a waste of time. We got tired of four Typhoons magically appearing overhead of an NOE mission. The last GV mission we ran had its VH bombed from about 4 sectors away so we couldn't spawn back in. Now the only way an enemy Jabo could have gotten there in that time would have been to take off exactly when Dredger posted the mission, "gee how could that happen"? :huh Today I actually got to look down on an enemy cause I spent days trying to defend bases against 4 cannoned HO'ing hordes coming in.
So go Bish until they "degrade". Then go Nit till they degrade. Then come back Rook and rinse and repeat. Maybe the game is just kinda going down. Its like a lot of times I cant even get past the first merge without someone shooting first.
Any questions? See below.
