Title: Weather Forcast
Post by: Rich46yo on December 18, 2008, 09:38:16 AM
TODAYS FORCAST : Snow and cold until morning.

TOMORROWS FORCAST : Cold with more snow.

EXTENDED FORCAST : Snow and cold until May, with brief periods of warmth in April.

Boy, all the warm places I could have lived and worked in and I come back to the land of the Arctic blast. At least I got the snow blower working.

Yes, I admit it was a whine. :P Its different here. They dont cross nice warm sea's to whack us. They just come barreling down to clobber us. And its early yet. It aint even X-mas, gee, I cant wait for January. :huh And I gotta be out in it all day long.

Anyway......Waaa, Waaaa, Waaaa.

Didn't you hear?  The cooling is masking the warming, which is in a dormant state until 2012.  But once it gets here, YOU'LL BE SORRY!  :D  :lol

I'll take the snow all of you so vehemently despise.  Moved from upstate NY (snowiest place on the east coast) to DC, and I miss winter already.  Least I get to see some white when I go home for Crippymas.

Anyway, fill up a couple dump trucks and drop em in front of my apartment :)

So thats like 60% Fahrenheit right? Short sleeve weather? Maybe a light jacket? Dude were looking at like highs of -12 Celsius. Thats the high tempt, and throw 1/2 a foot of snow in with it, "16 centimeters". And then throw in a 25 mph howler from the N/W, 40 km an hour, and your looking at a freeze temp of of about -30 Celsius.

And until you reach about the Kentucky, Missouri, Tennessee, Arkansas break your looking right at the teeth of the Arctic howlers coming down. I was in training with some guys from the deep south who had never even seen snow and they ended up getting assigned to hot loaded B-52s at Minot North Dakota. That means out on the flight line guarding the things on a hot pad, " and "hot" doesn't mean warm". I actually felt sorry for them.

Sounds about right. Last week we had 6,8F so its been a rather quick rise to the 59F we have now. Thankfully there was no wind and some insulating snow.
