Title: Vox not working
Post by: Elfie on December 18, 2008, 10:55:12 AM
My vox doesn't appear to be working. Well, I can hear others but no one can hear me. My mic is working in windows (I know this because it works w/ Skype).

I am using onboard sound, motherboard is a ASUS m2n68-AM. I have my mic volume turned all the way up in AH and have tried using it with wave in box checked and unchecked.

When you key the mic, if you are not getting the beep, then you need to make sure the mic is set as the primary recording device in the audio control panel.

If you are getting the beep, then make sure you have set the "V" channel box in the radio control bar to "101".

If you have the channel set to "101", and hear the beep, but no on appears to hear you, then set channel "V" to your game ID and see if you can hear yourself.  If you cannot hear yourself, then it could be a firewall issue.

This happens to me sometimes and I have to reinstall the audio drivers.  I too have an ASUS motherboard but with disabled onboard sound (it's a piece of crap).  I use an SB X-FI PCI-E card and usually have to reinstall the drivers ever so often.  Just for kicks... have you tried reinstalling the current version of AHII?  Sometimes that is all that is needed.  You don't have to reset your preferences and sticks and such after a reinstall of AH.

Hope this helps ya out.

All the Best...

I'm getting the beeps when I key vox, however, when I tune to myself I can't hear me talking.

The firewall I am using came with Trend Micro's Internet Security Pro.

I *just* installed AH on this new machine.

And......I went into Trend Micro's firewall, gave AH permission and all is well with vox.

Thanks Skuzzy.  :rock

Bleh.....I'm not getting beeps for range channel (F12) but I am for tuned vox channel (T).

I haven't changed the default keyboard setting for range vox, and I just verified that the keyboard setting is still F12. I also have not mapped it to my stick/throttle.

Actually, the only time I am getting the beep is when I am tuned to myself.
