The Nimitz was the test model, they got it right with the Eisenhower :t
How do you find life aboard that floating city with all those swabbies VVV ? I was on board the IKE from 77-80. Got on board BEFORE she was commissioned, and finished out my tour of duty while patrolling off the coast of IRAN during the hostage crises. I seem to remember giving those "airdales" a hard time when ever they shipped in. I was an Electricians mate and considered a "God" on board ship..... we DID control ALL of the air conditioning after all. :devil
Thanks for the pictures that brought back so many memories! <S>
