Okay, I think the 38 (yes THAT subject again..WAIT! DONT CLICK OUT YET!!!! :) ) FM is pretty damn accurate. But i've heard from anthor post that there are some things your going to address in the future. COuld some of these things deal with the 38... ?

Does the horizontal stabilizer take damage or is it either on or off? Seems it could stand to lose much of its effectiveness yet still leave a plane at least semi controllable. As it is, when that puppie takes a hit, off she goes and the sortie is over.
Why does the P38L seem to flick roll so easily when at about 150 ias one notch flaps deployed nose up 5-15 degrees.
I would have thought it would be more stable until way down around 115-120 ias and then just a sloppy wingover into stall.
Then again, what do I know.... ;)

Just in case if HT crew are reading any of this, WHERE do I submit stuff for you to get info on the p-38? Got 5 megs worth of stuff and no clue where to submit it.

I ordered a book w/the Lockheed "papers" on the P38 I think. I'm going to take a look at them and maybe TRY to do some tests if possiable. I'll also put them out for others to see if I can. I have NO idea if anything useful will be actually found though.
