You can tell a lot of people were waiting on it.  The topic filled up ch.200 all night.  I gave it til 12:30am EST then logged.  I think I was looking more forward to it being night than seeing Santa again though.

My sons were looking forward to seeing Santa & the jet-sleigh. At least there could've been a short note saying HiTech was NOT going to do it this time?

875543 whined so high about how unrealistic santa was that Blixen rammed a tree and broke a leg trying to cover his ears.

Both Prancer and Vixen sufferd major eardum injuries and Dasher just sits on the rearm pad with a blank stare.

Comet, Cupid, Dancer, Donner and Rudolph grabbed a bottle of Scotlands finest and was last seen heading for a flock of sheep in a jeep.

Santa is still missing, but clothing belonging to Mr and Missus Santa has been found under the wing of a parked RV8. We dont really want to know where they are but wish them a merry christmas.

He will be back next year.

Are we really going to whine about no Santa?    :cry  whaaaa   :cry   whaaaaa

Reports from the paparazzi is that Hitech has a new dame. Now to tell the obvious, for you pocket protector folks........With a new dame, comes newness, lust, wagging puppy dog tails...... ahhhh   L'Amour   :aok

My guess....... HT spend the evening with family. Locked the office door at 6......and did exactly what everyone else does........ enjoyed his Christmas.

Merry Christmas HiTech............ Go easy on the whiners, they do not know any better.   :D

Yeah, I'm sure flying a reindeer sleigh through the AH arena is what an HTC employee wants to do on Christmas eve. :P

From Luft
To AH Bulletin boards

I don't usually post messages. This is what? number 10?
I had heard about this so called "flying Santa" over the years but last year a squad mate
sent me a picture of santa on a sled hauling butt out of A32. It was real!
I thought I'd take a chance on trying to find Santa and decided to stay up.
By 01:23 Eastern my eyelids were breaking the toothpicks holding them up so I decided to pack it in.
The little kids get up early and I had cut my sleep time to 5 hours. Not a problem though, I'm on vacation for 2 weeks.
There were a lot of people waiting and looking for Santa. Too bad we missed him but it's not the end of the world.
Missing out on the Sharks with laser beams was. Actually, not having gone to a CON since 1996 is.
Last night was one of the funnest nights I've flown in many years.
The action was excellent and all sides were on rampages.
It was fun!
Having Aces High as a place to fly isn't something to take for granted but we all do.
Dale and his team are coming up on ten years of providing us with this place and
want an incredible job they have done!!!

Merry Christmas Aces High

and many thanks,

Luft

HT's fan boyz aside, it would've only taken 2 seconds to come here and make an announcement.  I've already seen the whole Santa things the last 5 years now, so it didn't bother me, but I know there were quite a few first Xmas-ers that were staying on waiting.  I don't think a quick post sometime in the month of December was to much to ask from a customer service perspective.

True, but have they ever announced that they were going to do it in the first place? Its sort of a tradition i know, but ive always seen it as an extra treat they give us when they have the time and not a set event. Ive never gotten to see it myself, but havent worked hard to be on when it happens either.

That beeing said im sure someone would voulenteer to fly the sled around if they didnt have the time to do it themselves. Im sure one of the trainers or mods could have taken the "job" and been santa for half an hour.

It all comes down to tradition, when you do something like that year after year it becomes a tradition and people like tradition and to just stop with no reason or explanation tends to turn people off. Alot of people probably had kids wanting to see santa flying around in a game their parents spend so much time on and to get hopes up and then just leave them hanging with no reason doesnt bode well.IMHO

Well, I am glad I signed off to make sure Santa and Rudolph ate the snacks my grandchildren had set out for him, as well as to be sure he loaded the tree with the gifts my family are blessed to receive.

That said, the annual showing of Santa has become such a ritual that grown men long for it each year.  It is fun, no doubt. I have been fortunate enough to dodge a few passes by that jet sleigh in the past and would love to see it again.

Perhaps now that Santa is done circling the globe, he might yet stop in for some belated Christmas cheer?   We can hope  :)

Wow.  Something unforeseen may have happened to prevent him from making it and that is why no announcement was made.  Hope everything is okay.

Anyway, this proves what we have all had sung at us all incessantly through the years - Santa doesn't come for pouters.... :D :aok :D

Hehe, althought I can understand the dissapointment some of you went through, complaining on it here is slightly embarassing.

Shouldn't spending christmas with families be more important than seeing night in the main arena?

Maybe it was the squeekers, and we are all under the wrong impression  :D
