Would this monitor cause black polygons along the edges of some textrues, such as hangars,a BIG black polygon on the green bottom of a shore battery, and general waviness to the scene more often than not..The polygons(the only thing I can think that they are) are not always seen,it depends on my point of view and how far I am away from the structure while moving..
Thanks,

I realize it may be difficult, could you get a screen shot of this anomaly so we might be able to determine what's happening? This does not sound like your monitor is causing this. It's more likely a Motherboard or Hard Drive issue. The easy fix might be defragmenting your computer's Hard Drives, the medium fix would be reinstalling AH, the horrible fix is having to get a new motherboard (unlikely).
The new video card you installed, did you wipe the drivers of your previous video card(s) before installing the new ones? If not it could-theoretically-cause some problems. While this may not be the source of the problem, it could still help out. I really don't see how a monitor (Which only receives visual display data from the video card) could draw polygons on objects within the game.

Make sure you are running Windows and Games at 1280x1024.

looks like a driver issue to me. try using an older driver, the latest and greatest are not always best for AH.
NOT

I would try driver cleaner pro. I had issues with my sound card and that did the trick.

There is a driver uninstall in your add/remove programs. You need the newest drivers for the 4850. The original drivers were not the best(owned a 4870 x 2). I read a lot of posts and the most current are the best. 8.12 should be the latest. Make sure all your anti alias are up and you are on highest quality levels in catalyst. I forgot which setting will make "wavy" or jagged edges smooth. By the looks of your screen shots, you only have wavy lines on buildings. You in plane view looks nice.
Now, The original drivers for this card came out in appr. July. Updated ones are much better. It is not like this is a older card that works better on older drivers like the Nvidea 8000 series works better on older drivers. One problem these guys have is creating drivers that work on vista and xp.
Save newest drivers on desktop.
Make sure you run the uninstall utility.
Reboot computer.
Install new drivers and catalyst.
Reboot.
Using a driver cleaner will not hurt. The ATI tech told me not neccesary if you run the uninstall tool.
