Almost more fun than actually flying is watching what an Expert pilot does from so many angles, in cockpit and out, and narrates it for the unwashed masses no less. All the text in the world really just can't compare to a few minutes of film when someone is on the topic of throttle and flap use to gain and keep angles in an attacker.
Now the fun part will be tooling around on the deck looking for a fight, trying to put some instruction into practice. Thanks Agent :salute , and to the others who make narrated films, which I will be watching soon no doubt.

Those are some sweet films from a guy that likes to fight. Very well done Agent, I have been on the losing end of those taters of yours and this gives me the "inside look" at your killing process. I have only battled you a few times, but for some reason I remember those encounters more than others....and the instant tower visit after a few turns.

I don't mean to bump the topic but I wanted to say I am pleased that the films are helping people. That is why I made them.
Thank you all for the comments... :salute

Agent,
Your films really helped me. I went from being sub average in the 109K4 to being pretty proficient in them. A great thing you have done for the community with them. Thank you sir :salute

I've been trying to fly the 109 lately and getting shot down frequently. :D I've never even imagined how much you use your throttle and your flaps in a 109. I asked a few 109 regulars and they told me that they hardly use the flaps. Your films are showing very differently, specially in a knife fight. I had the opportunity to fight you last night in the DA and i was using a lot more throttle and flaps than ever before. I think it made a big difference. Watching all those films I think that actually saying when you were deploying and retracting flaps or playing with your throttle gives a better understanding of what the plane does or doesn't do when you do it. Thanks a lot for the info. :salute

if there is anything that Agent does not know about the 109k4 it is probably not worth knowing :aok

Besides being a way to get proficiant in the K4. They are good films for showing the tactical side of AH. The tactics used in the films can be applied to just about any plane w/minamal tweeking. Seeing a good use of engine and flaps in the manuvers helped me in my Zero flying and raised my kill count. The use of engine torque to assist in slow speed stall turns for one changed my dogfighting all together.
Seeing a rope applied helped me reconize it in game easyer. Vertical manuvering as well. Thanks for the films Agent.

Glad I came across this thread, those films are really helpful. How come I never hear the stall horn in any of the films? He gets very slow quite often and it never seems to set off the horn.
-
Just one of the many flaws in the film viewer, no black/red outs, no stall horn, and no buffet.

I think I heard he was making a second batch of these. Maybe he should be persuaded that it's worth it. :aok

Well bum me out. The files came across as .ahf files, which my comp says can't play. Couldn't find a freeware converter for .mov etc files. Anyone know what I else I can try to get these to play? Have latest shockwave, Windows player, apple players etc. Just don't have something that recognized .ahf extension.
Thanks in advance

I did download aces high, and they still don't play. I followed a link that had me download his zipped files. I did so, unzipped them, and tried to play them. It did not even give me an option to "open" them with Aces High.

The first time you have to show it the films with the film viewer to set the association. After installing the game under start/programs/HTC you should have a "Film viewer". Click it and let it load....it takes a couple of minutes. Then on the film viewer, click "open" and navigate to where you un zipped the files to, select one, then hit the play button to start it rolling.
