An Aces High Figther Squadron, based on wingtactical flying, is established for experienced pilots, who will find a lot good wingmen within the squadron.

When many people think about flying in "wings" (two or fourship formations), they are thinking in terms of what Shaw calls the "fighting wing" doctrine. The leader is the primary offensive unit of the section and is the one doing all the attacking. It is the wingman's job to stay with the leader, and protect him by preventing bandits from saddling up on him while he's fighting. The leader does almost all of the fighting, and the wingman simply tries to stay with him.

Fighting wing doctrine, also called "welded wing", was used once, when an ace as the winglead showed a freshman the ropes.

In Opposition to a "welded wing", Shaw introduced another wing doctrine, which he called the "double attack" doctrine. This is basically a system whereby each of the two section members provides support to the other, but neither one is bound into the leader/follower paradigm. They are both offensive units, and both are generally free to maneouver as the circumstances demand, each one covering the other. This does not mean, that the section disintegrates upon contact with the enemy - its stays together, but in a looser fashion than "welded wing" would dictate, and the roles of primary attacker and supporter may change back and forth, depending upon, who has the best shooting solution. This doctrine is sometimes referred to as the "loose deuce" system. While "welded wing" historically was a doctrin, where an "Ace" leads a "Freshman" into the fight, "loose deuce" is based on to a trustworthy relationship between "Aces".

We are going on the runway together, fly in formation into the battle, fight and always keep an eye on your wingman, fianally returning together to base. If you do the same thing, then you're using "loose deuce" wingman tactics right now, whether you know it or not. You watch others get engaged, and if they get in trouble, you can often help them by swooping down and nailing the bandit. You can nail bandits, which they are dragging. That's basically what "loose deuce" is - only when you are doing it with a dedicated wingman, it is even more effective than the impromptu wingmen you get in the arena. Being in a different tactical situation than your wingman gives you a good chance to make a good shot at the enemy.

Flying "loose deuce" allows both members of the section to act offensively and to come home with their fair share of kills - and there is no better reason for flying "loose deuce" than that.

If there would be a great many wings, flying and fighting "loose deuce" together, can you imagine that?

Great way to learn to trust your squaddies when they are thrown into a 12 + man merge.

fights usually take around an hour and they can be scheduled to a time that suits both squads, 

can be organised however much in advance you like.   The minimum amount of fights are 2 every 6 months to stay in the league. But once you get used to the format hopefully you'll want to fight every week  ;)

The league will only be as good as it's members   :)

hehe guys, well as you know Loose Deuce is just on its way to grow up. The squadron is just 3 Month old, yes sure we have a lot of long timers with average 8 Years flight experience in our lines, but most are just 12 month in AH overall. we are still on our way to find out the lastes ropes of all FM and DM. We are in the beginning to play together the way we want to. At first we fly the SEC, than maybe the FSO if LD get additional US fighter Pilots. After that we will join the duelling league. Show some Patiance please

Hi,

the ~<<~ Loose Deuce~>>~ are 19 active Pilots so far. We want to offer 1 Seat for an experienced Pilot, you're welcome if you are

- older than 21
- your KD ratio should be better than 1
- you are a Fighter Pilot

We LD Pilots are flying as a team, we got our own TS

We are going on the runway together, fly in formation into the battle, fight and always keep an eye on your wingman, fianally returning together to base. If you do the same thing, then you're using "loose deuce" wingman tactics right now, whether you know it or not. You watch others get engaged, and if they get in trouble, you can often help them by swooping down and nailing the bandit. You can nail bandits, which they are dragging. That's basically what "loose deuce" is - only when you are doing it with a dedicated wingman, it is even more effective than the impromptu wingmen you get in the arena. Being in a different tactical situation than your wingman gives you a good chance to make a good shot at the enemy.

Flying "loose deuce" allows both members of the section to act offensively and to come home with their fair share of kills - and there is no better reason for flying "loose deuce" than that.

Hiho,

i will offer 2 more Seats. Only Fighter Pilots are welcome! We don't go for Vehical stuff, we did not bomb.

 + You should be over 21
 + your KD ratio should be over 1 (that simply means you know what to do, and avoid the HO)
 + you like to fly with a bunch of experienced Guys, focused on flying and fighting together
 + you like to use wingtactics and brevity codes
 + Teamspeak is mandatory, we speak english (with italian, swedish, argentina and german accent sometimes, but some also able to use Queens English, close to oxford standard)

we fly all Fighter Planes, sometimes we go in similar planes, but being in each fav rides is also Fun.

maybe you ask yourself if you know some of the LD guys?

After 3 month being an LD pilots KD climbs straight above 3 mostly, because of our teamplay and the spirit of never walk alone

All I can say is I ran into a few of you Loose Deuce guys in and SEC event a few weeks back.....and damn.....talk about getting schooled. I don't think I have ever had to take off as much as I did that day. This is a squad that very much has it together and it showed in that event.

Gents,

i want to say thanks to my XP Gathoo for all the work you have done for the LD Squadron.

Gathoo is going to move to Abeokuta, Nigeria at the eighth of April and
will stay there for at least three years working as development aid worker. So he will be not able to join
our flight, but we will stay in contact inside the forum
I could write a lot of stuff here, but i didn't find the right words to say how much respect i got, because you go down there for a civil helping hand, leaving the western world behind. Living in the 3rd world at least for that long time
We LDs are missing you, but we will not forget you! Let me say thank you for all the hard work you have done for the LD.

I've had quite a few run ins with Gunhog and Trogdor this week usually resulting in a 38G careening out of the sky and digging a deep crater in the ground, both gents were gracious in victory and the occasional defeat.  Someone looking for a home could be well served trying Loose Deuce on for size.

We are an Aces High Figther Squadron, based on wingtactical flying, is established for experienced pilots, who will find a lot good wingmen within the squadron.

When many people think about flying in "wings" (two or fourship formations), they are thinking in terms of what Shaw calls the "fighting wing" doctrine. The leader is the primary offensive unit of the section and is the one doing all the attacking. It is the wingman's job to stay with the leader, and protect him by preventing bandits from saddling up on him while he's fighting. The leader does almost all of the fighting, and the wingman simply tries to stay with him.

Fighting wing doctrine, also called "welded wing", was used once, when an ace as the winglead showed a freshman the ropes.

In Opposition to a "welded wing", Shaw introduced another wing doctrine, which he called the "double attack" doctrine. This is basically a system whereby each of the two section members provides support to the other, but neither one is bound into the leader/follower paradigm. They are both offensive units, and both are generally free to maneouver as the circumstances demand, each one covering the other. This does not mean, that the section disintegrates upon contact with the enemy - its stays together, but in a looser fashion than "welded wing" would dictate, and the roles of primary attacker and supporter may change back and forth, depending upon, who has the best shooting solution. This doctrine is sometimes referred to as the "loose deuce" system. While "welded wing" historically was a doctrin, where an "Ace" leads a "Freshman" into the fight, "loose deuce" is based on to a trustworthy relationship between "Aces".

We are going on the runway together, fly in formation into the battle, fight and always keep an eye on your wingman, fianally returning together to base. If you do the same thing, then you're using "loose deuce" wingman tactics right now, whether you know it or not. You watch others get engaged, and if they get in trouble, you can often help them by swooping down and nailing the bandit. You can nail bandits, which they are dragging. That's basically what "loose deuce" is - only when you are doing it with a dedicated wingman, it is even more effective than the impromptu wingmen you get in the arena. Being in a different tactical situation than your wingman gives you a good chance to make a good shot at the enemy.

Flying "loose deuce" allows both members of the section to act offensively and to come home with their fair share of kills - and there is no better reason for flying "loose deuce" than that.

If there would be a great many wings, flying and fighting "loose deuce" together, can you imagine that?

Gaming the Game is not allowed!

# You never walk alone, even when you are returning to base. Every member will take care of the save returning to base of other members.

Hi Amaazee,

average deucers age is around 40, most got family and childs. Education in the evening hours is not on our minds, we don't wanna think about age if we tell stories to each other on TS
The KD is low in my opinion, we LD started with KD 2, Loose Deuce KD average in MA is around ~2.5
I set this level to create squadron were pilots with above average skills stick together. I worked once as trainer for a couple of years, i know it need a lot of training to become the right timing when fighting in wingformations. I would say you need minimum 2 years of online flying to learn how you have to change your engangements and getting in sync with a group of others fighters

An Aces High Figther Squadron, based on wingtactical flying, is established for experienced pilots, who will find a lot good wingmen within the squadron.

When many people think about flying in “wings” (two or fourship formations), they are thinking in terms of what Shaw calls the “fighting wing” doctrine. The leader is the primary offensive unit of the section and is the one doing all the attacking. It is the wingman’s job to stay with the leader, and protect him by preventing bandits from saddling up on him while he’s fighting. The leader does almost all of the fighting, and the wingman simply tries to stay with him.

Fighting wing doctrine, also called “welded wing”, was used once, when an ace as the winglead showed a freshman the ropes.

In Opposition to a “welded wing”, Shaw introduced another wing doctrine, which he called the “double attack” doctrine. This is basically a system whereby each of the two section members provides support to the other, but neither one is bound into the leader/follower paradigm. They are both offensive units, and both are generally free to maneouver as the circumstances demand, each one covering the other. This does not mean, that the section disintegrates upon contact with the enemy – its stays together, but in a looser fashion than “welded wing” would dictate, and the roles of primary attacker and supporter may change back and forth, depending upon, who has the best shooting solution. This doctrine is sometimes referred to as the “loose deuce” system. While “welded wing” historically was a doctrin, where an “Ace” leads a “Freshman” into the fight, “loose deuce” is based on to a trustworthy relationship between “Aces”.

We are going on the runway together, fly in formation into the battle, fight and always keep an eye on your wingman, fianally returning together to base. If you do the same thing, then you’re using “loose deuce” wingman tactics right now, whether you know it or not. You watch others get engaged, and if they get in trouble, you can often help them by swooping down and nailing the bandit. You can nail bandits, which they are dragging. That’s basically what “loose deuce” is – only when you are doing it with a dedicated wingman, it is even more effective than the impromptu wingmen you get in the arena. Being in a different tactical situation than your wingman gives you a good chance to make a good shot at the enemy.

Flying “loose deuce” allows both members of the section to act offensively and to come home with their fair share of kills – and there is no better reason for flying “loose deuce” than that.

The Loose Deuce Squadron won the Season 1 of the squadron duelling league (SDL) undefeated by using on these Wing tactics. We are not flying for the most kills, we fly and fight and wanna RTB too

Just a thought. The SDL is no where to be seen, and may not come back anytime soon. What if we simply challenge another squad to a duel, winner take bragging rights? There are a few to consider, The Few, Army of Muppets, etc. Give us about a month to prep for it. I think one of our favorite things to do is practice as a squad 5 v 5, etc. Brings out of the best of us.

boo, I suggest you drop Yarbles a line - can't promise anything but I'd certainly hope that we could get 5 pilots willing to do some informal squad duels with you guys, for fun and good practice for all concerned  :salute

Good Idea Boo, give Dhyran a little nudge to setup a few squad duels with Bruv, I am sure your and our new recruits could have alot of fun earning their squad dueling wings.

I think I could get 5 unofficial members of the few if you can do the same call it a sort of inter squad training. As to bragging yes lets have it but unfortunatley most of the AH community are sensitive souls perhaps unlike you and I. I would say the loser should add I was owned by the LD's/The Few to their sig for a month but I am in a very small minoirity with that  :lol :lol :D.

So Boo I think I could get 5 and I wont say its our best or worst and maybe we should say 4 infact but I believe it is doable so lets have it  :salute  pm me  ;)

Bruv may want to get behind it which case I guess its official otherwise its just for fun which might be better anyway  ;)

Let me get the word out and see what we can drum up. Several of us are flying the next scenario, Enemy Coast Ahead. That both helps and hurts, gets us in the same arena, may burn some time.

Well it seems we need to only come up with a minimum of 4 each.  ;) Initial interest in the regulars at my end is promising. The thing is not to make too much of a big deal over who wins just get the ball rolling.

The LD squadron is currently 28 Pilots strong, we are focused on tactical Fighter action, using short brevity codes, three Gents retired due RL issues so we got 4 Seat left open.
Currently we are 14 EU TZ based Pilots and 14 US TZ based pilots, real international from Spain, Brasil, Argentinia, Italy, Germany, Sweden, USA, United Kingdom and Belgium!
Current average age of LD pilots is 41
Join us if you like to fly with a good group of fighter Pilots! TS3 is recommended!

no disapointment on my seide Sir! We use a private TS 3 server, you're welcome!
Most active time actual is from 19:00 CET til 0:00 CET or 6 pm est

Dear community,

it was a great time for me flying AH2 and being a member of the CM team, the best part of the game, but now its time to leave!
Thanks for all the great fun i had, as a CM i allways tried to satisfy our customers, sometimes i did somtimes not. I will allways remember some great moments when hosting the SECs, i loved to work for you together with the rest of the SEC team. I had tons of fun over the last 5 years flying AH2, i had some outstanding moments together with my squadmates and i want to thank you for all the fun i got.

The virtuel world of those flight sim games is very small, so maybe some of you might meet me in a couple of month or years again at another place! I am leaving here, but my callsign will be the same like it was the last 20 years ;-)
Herewith i lay down my account and i will leave the game too!

The position of the CO is taken over by save, long time member from our Squadron, the Loose Deuce. XO Position is still held by gathoo!
