well... we have these (now) beautifully rendered storm fronts, and isolated clouds elsewhere, does anyone agree that essentially its all so much fps sapping crud *unless* visibility is dramatically reduced -perhaps to nil - within cloud?
Seems to me that this would give aircraft the oppurtunity to evade persuers, and bring a whole new "cat and mouse" aspect to things.........
Thoughts?

That's pretty much how they work for me, I'm not sure what your getting at?

enemy icons and dots are HIGHLY visible when both you and the enemy are inside the cloud (in the white). Aside from that, clouds are great. would be good to have them "thin out" instead of just dissapearing in a flash. :)

I must agree with Fidd.
Being inside a cloud is UNrealistic when you can still see enemy planes 3 miles away....and they can see you....even when they are also inside a cloud!
The issue certainly needs to be addressed for the sake of realism, if nothing else.

what clouds are ya'll talking about? I lose dots and icons in the clouds all the time, and I have to assume that folks trying to shot my kite up do also when I lose them in a cloud.

Depends what layer your at in the clouds, I lose icons and the aircraft at long and close range...for example, just the other day fighting Zygote in his LA7, he's D500 in front of me, and he used the clouds to his advantage to lose me. It almost worked, but he penetrated another layer giving me a clue that he had dove.
