Its interesting
Understatement of the year, and it comes on Day 1.  :rofl

Expand the map and stare at it closely for 30 seconds...  Then look at a wall and you'll see the bio-hazard sign.

It's a big map, We'll all stay confined to one area though I'd say, and this map would make for a nice mission

I'd rather face the dragon.

Couldn't get the PTO_1 or Fjords map eh?

The new setup looks fun, hope it works out.  I've never seen this tried in the AvA before.  I'm interested to see how the 3 sides work together/against each other lol

Title: Re: New setup - tweak?

It would be a tad more balanced by removing the FW190D or adding the
109k4/P-51D/LA7/Yak9u/Typh/Spit16 (or 14).  (The fastest thing UK has is the spit9)  The nearest competitor to the D9 is the 51b (guns?).

The map.... meh.... quite the flight time for the normal arena nbrs. Might take the fights higher, which in itself isn't always a bad thing.

The 3-way setup?  meh... might work, but I forsee very low IJN use.

The Eny?  <--- my bad for not reading carefully.. eny disabled, so ignore this.

We'll bear with this "experiment" I guess.  <--- this still stands.  :aok

I suppose that's as close as a positive statement that can be hoped for...

On another note:

As I said before, as far as I know this has never been done before in the AvA, at least not the 4ish years I've been around.  It's exciting.  :)  Bring on the new stuff!

See Rule #4

Save it for PMs.

I like the chart, I agree allies should have an La-7. Won't the 5 turn better than the 7 though Shane? (never fly either so I have no clue)

i'm pretty sure i remarked (to you) that the question was already in my mind when i first saw the 190d icon (before u even had guns).

I'm positive you wondered the same thing over ch200.

So instead of trying to somehow make yourself look good at my expense with the peanut gallery, why not respond with the opinion you expressed?

As for the dig at my squad name, meh. The anklehumping line is ------>

No way of knowing who's responsible for the setup if you mean PM the suggestions to tweak.

If you're referring to my reply to Republic.  What's the rule for backseat moderation, again?  :aok

Not sure, I think it's an interesting idea, but two axis countries being able to fight eachother is a little off IMO. I do like I said think it's a cool thought, just needs to be refined a little

I doubt you'll see IJN/LW action unless it's somewhere in an area where all 3 sides are. Even then one would think the ijn wouldn't go after the lw and vice versa. AvA and whatnot. I do see the rationale behind the 3 way setup in "separating" the European and Pacific Theatres.

Refined = tweaked.  That's what I'm suggesting, at least in terms of planeset. The Fw190d has none of it's natural competitors in the lineup.

Dunno if this setup will attract and retain the curious... part of the experiment I guess.

I think this is as close as we'll ever see actual "killshooter off" fighting...something I've been wanting to see for awhile.

Your ignorance is showing, yet again.

lol Shane, you make me smile.  :)

I gave the map a whirl tonight.  I really like the 3 countries and the planesets that are allotted to each.  Makes me wish Grupul 7 were still around, it'd be the perfect setup to have a Romanian squad fighting along with the Luftwaffe, having to actually pay attention to red neon letters.

The only issue with the map is that there is no real way for the 2 to coordinate.  It would be interesting to see this setup with the tank town map, where there'd be a mass furball in the middle.

I think "SFMA" or "Baltic" maps would work better with this setup. The map being used now is just way to big for the AvA.

Shane has a squad? :huh

You and your fjords Odee  :lol
Whud can I say... I'm NOEL guy spreading cheer in the weeds.  ;)

Cureent map is great for GV battles... if you like being a tread head, and I don't.  But I did get my first ever Tank kill with a T-34 v a Pzr trying to make an end run around my revetment.   Kad this all over glowy feeling until I realized Fudgums laid the smack on my head with a couple eggs.

My 2 cents: A 3-team map setup is fairly lame.  I like seeing the historical based maps.  It's not like anymore than 3 or 4 bases will be used in this setup unless people start landgrabbing in low numbers situations.

i like the current setup. its been great fun. the flights havent been overly long, but could be shorter. the tank battles have been hysterical to say the least. good times in the AVA for a change!!  :) i find this map appealling to all different fighting styles: fighter pilot, the tankers and the cartoon navy boat captain!!

Got in there for some good fights last night.  Was nice to see Eagler back in the arena.

Corsair v. Frank and Tony v. Hellcat remain very good fights, each plane having its own strengths, neither being in a completely different class from the other.  How are the Zeke v FM2 people making out?

I was in the Fm2 last night when you came on...  Not sure if you were the Zeke, Frank or Tony, but I whacked one of each...  than skedaddled home before I became another statistic in da Pacific

Yah they were some great fights for sure.
