My father has one on his JD tractor.  Looks exactly like that.  It works good for 75 yards of driveway he has.  Only problem he has (as with any mounted snow blower) is that 95% of the drive way is gravel and you'll have a nice collection of stones in your lawn come spring.

600+ feet of driveway, 42" plow on a riding mower with chains and weights, and a 28" walk behind snow blower.

I used to have a simplicity with the blower attatchment on from alot like that!  it was great but like stated above if you got a gravel drive get it good and smooth before the ground freezes and keep the skid plates raise up enough!

That will help with.....but not eliminate the rocky grass probs.

I live in Oregon... I was under the impression we don't get a foot and a half of snow here... till I got proven wrong this winter...

But anywho... I get to use a fancy thing called a shovel and some de-icer...
I know... new technology for you all, but deffinitly good! ;)

Yup he owned a Simplicity with the same type of attachment before he owned the JD.  Same thing happened.  It only became a problem if we got dumped on with snow before he could pack a layer of snow/ice first.

Lucky me being a farmer. My snow-scoop is 6 foot wide, on a frontloader that will lift 2 tonnes up to 3.5 metres, that is the business end of a 130 hp 4WD Massey-Ferguson.
But it doesn't matter, it's raining all the time in Iceland, and no frost in the ground, so I'll have to get around finishing the beer, and mount the plough....
