I wonder what a Scientology funeral look like...

I wonder what the cause of death is. It says seizure but that seems strange. I have been a paramedic for a long time and never heard of that as a cause of death. Did he have a brain tumor or some other medical condition?

Twister, i dont know why but my first thought was drink and drugs mixed with too much sun. They said he had a history of them (siezures), so maybe it was bad luck and he was underwater or on a balcony? does seem like they are holding soemthing back, and damn right too, its not our business.
-
News also says he hit his head during the fall.

Yes, he had a medical condition.
-
whatever the cause, its pretty tragic.
-
He was diagnosed years ago, I think with something called "Kawasaki Syndrome" or something of that nature. It causes swelling and failure of random organs. He was rarely seen in public, and near death more than once. Jumping to the conclusions of drugs or alcohol is at least a little uncalled for and premature. What difference does it make what the funeral is like? A boy is dead, at an early age, and his family has suffered a great and painful loss.
-
I don't need to know how. It's a personal tragedy.
My condolances to the family.

Well said, it was just my Honest first thought. Being ignorant of the history and now knowing more I do feel a little wrong for suggesting it.

Children with Kawasaki disease also have a high incidense of heart and coronary abnormalities. It manly affects the Asian culture and African Americans. Tragic no matter how you look at it. I lost a son 12 years ago and I feel for them. God Bless them.

Ouch :(. My brother met Travolta a couple times at cast parties when he worked on movies and said that he was one of the more "down to earth" actors he had met, and treated people well.
-
Kids should outlive the parents.
That is tragic as John seems like a down to Earth guy.
-
There is no pain greater than losing a child. My deepest condolences to the family.
-
I could not imagine how this must feel for them , and its true kids should always outlive the parents. I read this in the news today and its just terrible . My condolances to the family .

I read an interesting blurb about a possible cause for the kid's medical condition... It's apparently related to over-exposure to cleaning chemicals, and John Travolta has admitted that he somewhat obsessively cleaned his child's carpet (and probably the rest of his childhood environment). That's gotta be a terrible thing, trying to protect your kid and finding out later that your efforts might have killed him. Whether the obsessive cleaning caused the condition or not doesn't matter, because he'll always wonder and that's a terrible thing to have to live with.
Every day I wonder if I'm doing the right things for my kid...

We were told about this after our two sons were diagnosed with asthma. The specialist recommended we get rid of all carpets and NOT try to keep them clean using chemicals etc. and used the Travolta case to back it up.
Damn, I was JUST talking about this the other day and my sister mentioned that she'd heard the same thing about Travolta's kid and that the boy had severe long-term medial problems because of it.
-
well now this is very interesting to those of us who felt bad for our conspiracy theories...

what could it be about i wonder

Horrible that others would seek to gain personal benefit from the tragedy within another family.

its pathetic that some stunninghunk or stunninghunks would pull this.
-
I saw this on the news last week where (I think it was) CNN reported a photo of the boy would be released to the media if the extortion was not paid.
-
thats horrendous...you mean they had a photo of him dying? I wondered if it was infomation on why he died that was the blackmail.
-
Who knows? You know so much of 'news' these days is mere opinion and speculation without the responsibility of credibility you cant rely on anything you see on TV or read in the newspapers. Its nothing short of media anarchy anymore.
