For those of you in DC area.
my family and I went to DC for Xmas. We stopped at the New Burma Road Restaurant in Gaithers-burg. Great Burmese food and Chinese. As we were leaving I asked owner why all they USA military photo's on walls, with normal Chinese art. He goes on to tell me about his family and the ties to flying tigers. We have a good 30 min conversation and he tells me to come back Jan 21 -23 for flying tigers get together at his restaurant with Claire Lee Chennault's wife even. Really thinking of making trip just for it. thought some of you might want to be there too. He told me 4 or 5 tigers live near DC area rest of families coming in for get together. We got lucky by looking for gas and food at right exit otw home to Michigan. Great folks and their salute to America alone worth visit. here is a story and phone numbers and address I found on web.

Cool - :) thank you :)
One of the units my husband used to be with carried the moniker "Flying Tigers."
One of his fellow soldiers gave him as a gift a poster filled to the gills with signatures from the original guys. :salute

I should try to head up to that. DC is only about 4 hours north of here, and that would be awesome to go to.
