Lets get that Compression model fleshed out soon!
I do most of my work at high speed and the compression on/off switch is getting boring.

Yeager a lot of the pilot accounts describe on/off behavior. Since we can't feel the stick forces changing, maybe a "Mach buffet" sound or shake would be helpful?
-
Yeager thats how it should be
its right as it is currently (well i dont know about critical mach #s for the aircraft, but the behavior is spot on)

Okay, Ive never flown a real plane into real compression but I seriously doubt its complete the way it is.
Case in point: Dales previous masterpiece has an excellent (by comparisson) compression model. As you near compression the aircraft shakes with increase in severity and loss of control and you hear an increase in engine pitch.
Thats all I ask for.

There would be more cues in RL.

I asked for this one *ages* ago, when they fisrt modelled compression and prop-drag (1.2?)
You guys are right, there should be some sort of warning, buffet or sound or something.

I'm still waiting for the stall shimmy-n-shake like the real thing. Take the pitch-aspect vibration from WBs and apply it to the roll axis during a stall. Instant shimmy-n-shake for a stall.

Yeager, AH does have RPM increase beyond a certain speed.
