Question--

Why is it that I ALWAYS lose in collisions? Can someone that actually knows  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif) tell me what decides who will take damage from collisions?

Collisions are done on each persons FE.  Because of lag, you may appear to be as much as 500 yards of your FE postion on his FE.  Therefore when you collide, the collision only occurs on your FE and only you die.

Yup, & probably that at the same time, on the other bloke's FE he'll see you 500yds away, thus, no collision for him ! (Or was that what Karnak just explained in better English ?    (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif) )

It seems to me i survive that sit more often if im trying to avoid.

If i try a ho going nose to nose and hit a guy trying to avoid me i seem to die more often.

Im not sure how the game figures it all out with lag included but this is the way it seems to me.
