Career EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) with a hospital that "leases" us out to several different ambulance organizations in our county to help run calls during times that they don't have enough volunteers. Very interesting job that allows me to work with several different organiztions, people, and of course helps out with the adrennalin addiction.
I also volunteer as a firefighter.
I also get payed to play AH during my down time. :aok

I work in DC at an international development company called CNFA. My program focuses on agribusiness and small enterprise development in eastern + southern Africa, but we also work in Moldova and Georgia. (the country :) ) I'm burning up some time before I go to grad school. :uhoh
When the man loosens his noose on me, I generally spend my time getting chewed up by girlfriend ack. However, last night that consisted of "Hey let's watch Return of the Jedi." THAT kind of ack I can deal with :aok
This evening will be spent constructing my bunker in DC, in order to repell the waves of zombies...errr people in 2 weekends. It's bad when Metro (the public transit orginzation in DC) tells the local populous "please try and avoid Metro on the weekend of the 18th."
I'm gladly accepting any heavy (lead prefered, reinforced alloys also acceptable) metals for construction purposes.

Small world. My brother is at this very moment finishing up some rangeland management courses as a part of his environmental planning degree at Humboldt (I think that's the right terminology, with what he's learning I often mix one up with another).
I'm a CAD-monkey. I have an AA in CADD (computer aided drafting & design). In a nutshell: I draw arcs, lines and circles on a computer all day. I've been employed for about six years now as a Landscape Architectural Drafter and Designer, mostly doing planting and irrigation layouts for commercial projects and an occasional residence (most residences hire a landscaper/gardener who does design-build, most homeowners will hire us only if city code/ordinance requires a licensed landscape architect to sign off on some plans or if they have the money to burn (this is So-Cal)). It's an odd profession, to be good you need to be fast and know as much about what your drafting as a fully licensed architect/engineer. You could also be drafting planting and irrigation layouts at one job and be drafting airplane parts or engines at another drafting job/company. It's a good career I recommend for those that might be interested in drafting (you do sit a computer almost every day just drafting) since if you're not interested in drafting something one day you can find a new job drafting something completely different the next.

At the moment, I've more in common with texasmom, stay at home Dad alongside my wife who is on maternity leave after son number 2 was born. Just finished troubleshooting the sound on this computer until I realised that son number 1 had plugged in the headset, urrrgh. :furious It's been interesting!!!!. I found for example, that you can cook while holding a baby or with him attached to your leg.
But on my days off from domestic bliss, I'm a skydive pilot, uniquely in this country the only paid skydive pilot at the moment. Well I would be paid if I was flying which in this country at this time of the year is not very often. So I'm pretty broke. I also freelance other flying but with a sinus infection have had to turn down a photo job only this week. Another source of income is as a movie and TV extra and some tiny acting roles, usually as a cop. Not enough of that either.
I think I'll have to get a real job soon.

I have you all beat. I drive a pink and white dump truck. If I can get a photo of it tomorrow I will post it.
Just imagine a Kenworth T-800 with a Colt rock body on it. White all over except the pink flames on the hood and breast cancer ribbons on the rear corners. The boss is not the type of guy you would make fun of for owning this thing.

I wouldn't mind but I think immigration would have something to say about that. :noid In any case the pay is a bit better here. Actually we're starting up again in February. Most of the problems stem from the fact that our field became a bit waterlogged as seen below :cry.

A good school for Forestry. This that what he is studying?
Sorry for the late reply, but no, he isn't studying forestry though I think that's what his original intention was. He is takign a bunch of the same classes though, I think he's goign for the environmental planning (dealing with the impact of human development and activities on the environemnt) or maybe even the rangeland management direction (he really dug doing his labs which required him out and working hand in hand with a few ranchers and their environmental issues they have to deal with on their ranch).
I think he mentioned to me over the holidays that he's looking at trying for an internship when he gets out of school at liekly one of the big forest service offices, processing enviromental impact reports.
