yeah his agent might be on his side!

That is a good thing for the gator nation...too bad I see another year like they had in 2007 when they were down and the rest of the SEC was up. BUT that just means another chance for someone else in the SEC to beat another conference for the championship....:D

Good on him for finishing school. And that's even coming from an Ohio State guy... :salute

The funny thing is I think he will finish school this coming spring. That is becoming more common place with football players than when I played football in college. With the advent of being able to take college courses while still in high school or even enrolling in the school early and now almost being forced to stay in school year round for workouts and such. When I played college ball in the early 1990's ('91-94) it was common to take 5-6 years to complete your degree. Also due to no restrictions on field practice time, film study, weight room, etc... Now that they have the 20 hour a week rule (started being enforced my last year in college) it allows players time to take more classes and get that degree a little faster. I remember practicing from 12pm - 9/10pm lots of times when you factor in the weight room, film/position/team meetings and actual on field practice when in college. In the summer we were not required to be on campus or even near school but we were required to show up in shape and that was with the threat of loosing your free ride if you showed up out of shape and when you need that scholarship to keep going to school you work out and study like a fiend non-stop.

Well, he may win the Hisman this time, if McCoyd is not in the way.

The gators will be pretty damn good next year. 19 Returning starters. Just give them the Championship and everyone else can play for #2.

Looks like they have a weak schedule, same as Texas.

Thaey at LSU this year. Should be interesting! An SEC schedule is not an EASY one. I admit they do play Troy and Florida Atlantic but still, the SEC games will make up for it!
On the good side, they gonna be playing Florida State at the Swamp, so maybe i can make the drive this year to finally see it!!

yea, but skipping Bama this coming season.

why?
He can finish school anytime.
Break the right bone and his football future is toast as is the easy money.
Sign now - get the millions - play with the big boys for as long as it is fun and then go get your degree if you are that bored after you retire with more money than you'll ever spend in a lifetime.
this coming from a die hard gator fan ................... :)

yea, but how many of them guys that do get drafted stay in the NFL more then three years. After that, how many actually go back to school to finish?

that's a good reason for any of them to stay in school :)
reason they don't go back is why do they need to? better vocabulary? I said he could if he were bored..
college = more $$$ in the work force for most .. someone who is paid millions to sign on the dotted line does not have that worry
