It would be nice to have a toggle setting for the text bar so you could turn it off during a fight.

Agreed, it would be nice to turn it off when channel 2 become loaded down with political talk as well.

Might be cool if it was like Microsoft Flight Sim where you can X it out and if there is a new message it comes back-but with the option to keep it down. (Say Friendly chat only CH 2.)
Of course you can move it anywhere you like and make it transparent in the settings...so try that as well.
