thats wicked Jack. The  smoke and fire effect looks very realistic, the planes almost look 3D and real

Wouldn't a P38 with D-Day stripes be shooting down Germans?  :lol

Looks great though man! Could you get one with a P39 Perhaps? Like a Pokryshkin taking down a 109?

These aren't planes from AH. My graphics are to crappy to use AH planes, but I will try a p39.
These are downloaded cut-outs and I put the image together ;)

Tip:

The lighting on the Lightning (lol?) is off compared to the Zero.  The light source on the Zero is quite bright and coming from the upper left corner of the picture, yet the P-38 is almost completely dark.  I'd recommend either toning down the Zero or add a light source to the P-38.

I say add light to the 38 since the light source is coming from behind/above the 38?  And it would make that kickarse bird stick out more  :t

Jack, if you don't mind, I'm gonna use the 38 as my wallpaper.  Then I will compile all your other artwork into a folder to use as my screensaver?  That's if you don't mind.

I think it looks great, but a little criticism if I may?

every thing is to crystal clear, if the 38 is the object in focus, the ground, and zero should be out of focus, and in varying degrees,
other than that it is cool, oh and you should try it with the planes in AH even if your graphics are great you can over come that by using certain tools, IE; burn, push, blend tools, the program I use has a antialising tool that blends out jagged lines, not sure what program you are using so you have to experiment on what works, when I make screenies, I use all AH graphics, but ether way

keep up the good work :aok

Also, how high up would those planes have to be?  If those are mountains down there, are these planes fighting at 30k+?

exactly...was the second time i visited Holland, we slept on a river barge and in our cabin was this middle aged guy covered in tattoos. My friend passed out and I ended up drinking a tavern dry with this guy. He had a tattoo under his eye of a single tear, for doin time for murder apparently. I slept with one eye open till he left. He was actualy fun to get drunk with if you dont mind someone that looks like they could strangle a cow with their ear lobes.

I still play it, can't stand the cockpit graphics, but the terrain is pretty cool with the fog though.

The only problem I see with your work is the fire. I would guess that a fire at that altitude would either only show smoke or have a highly noticeable yellowish flame. Your flame effect appears more of a livery-painted orange than a flame.

Still amazing work. :aok
