Title: CH Figtherstick view hat mods

Has anyone replaced the CH fighterstick's main view hat with one of the rook-shaped ones?  Is it possible to get these rook hats from CH?

Would the stick need software mods if the top-right hat switch on a USB 568 Combatstick was replaced with an analog Fighterstick's bottom-right hat switch?  The caste hat's shaft is too small to swap into the default view hat's buttons housing while still having enough throw to both catch the screw on the other end and still be free to move around and trigger the switches.  Or would a longer screw and one or two extra washers do?

I'd like to have the 8way hat where the rook hat is. Is that possible?
