I will try to dig some up. :)

Here's a quick one I haven't gone through all the film yet.
JD8300 knocking a Zeke off a B-24 South of A-19.

Spot an F4U1A grabbing and well we just can't have that can we. So I in. He does a fairly decent move with a barrel roll and we come to this position.

Then I get a few pings. No instant kill here. Seems more like a snake bite. He succumbs at a later time.

Sure wish I could make better shots. I've improved but still a long way to go.

Wow, I love those pics.

That screen looks like something almost right out of a documentary.

Yeah, I do too. How do you do it?

Thanks I just use the film viewer slow it down during the fight sequences. When a kill of mine or a squadmate comes up. I just go to the planes external and try and find a good angle.
Put it on 1/8 speed. go to full screen and snap the pic at what appears to me as the best image.
The bring it up in paintshop, soften it save it and bam.
Sometimes I can get great ones and sometimes I can find a decent one in the bunch. This one just happen to turn out good.

I use paint as well but still its not as good. I hit pause and then Alt+screen print. Do you save it as bmp or something else? How do you soften it up?
Really appreciate the help.
Addendum: Really sorry for the hijacking. Please continue posting those excellent pictures and I will continue my search for knowledge elsewhere. :salute

One thing you might look into is using the Zoom function, rather than moving the camera closer to the aircraft, that will help minimize the FOV issues that occur if you move the camera too close.
Getback,
There's not much of artistic value you can do with MS Paint. I use an OLD version of Corel Photo-Paint (got it way back in 1998, lol) and it has a number of filters and tools that can achieve those effects. I don't use them often, tho.

I believe Shifty is referring to Paintshop Pro.. or something like that. I use Adobe Photoshop Elements.
To smooth, I have been playing with Gaussian blur and unsharp mask. I'm still learning what the settings do. Most of is TLAR ( That Looks About Right )
Good luck.

Why did I see LTAR in that. :rofl :rofl Oh well, I looked at that at NewEgg.com Drone. Is it worth the $90? Does it make movies?

I think it's worth it. I guess the most recent version is 7. I'm still using V6.
It doesn't do videos. It's just for managing photos.
If you want their video handler, they call it Premier Elements. You can buy the current version of Premier Elements and Photoshop Elements ( both v7 ) for about $120.
They also bundle the previous versions ( Photoshop Elements V6 and Premier Elements V4 ) together and you should be able to pick that up for about $90.
I don't think the difference between V6 and V7 is very much. I don't plan on upgrading this time.
Personally, I think it's worth it. Pretty powerful stuff.
I'm sure there's probably some freeware out there that can do the same stuff, but I don't know of any.

"Gimp" is freeware for photo editing. :salute

That's correct, I meant Paintshop Pro. I have an old version Paintshop Pro 4 from the 90s.
I need to upgrade it. I used to save everything as a JPEG, but lately I've strted saving them as PNG files.
