Title: Ability to eject the gunner
Post by: Getback on January 25, 2009, 09:51:19 AM
I'd like to see where we have the ability to eject a joined gunner. I've let people join my plane only to have them empty the guns for no apparent reason. Well that only happened once but I've had it happen to my squadies as well.

you also can't train all your guns at once on an enemy plane from what I've learned.

Agree, although I very rarely accept a gunner. Something like ".eject gameID".

what I've learned, if someone is asking to be a gunner, or wants to be your gunner when you ask on country.... they shouldn't be your gunner

I've heard your story dozens of times, they're also the same guys who try talking to you on country, 51 HIGH, TURN HERE, WHERE ARE WE GOING?

Noone but a squadie will ever gun for me after making this mistake twice

That dot command is anyready in use. Its the dot command for a CM to boot someone from the arena. :)

How about ".shovegunneroutdoorwithoutpar achute <gameID>?  :D

:rofl

Honestly, I don't accept a gunner on any terms. I am good enough where I can gun and bomb simultaneously.

Once burned, twice shy?  Why do you need a gunner?  Personally, I always accept a gunner when they want to join me in a 109 or a Yak or something.

Well good point except for two reasons. One is that if you are in a SEA event and someone wants to continue playing. Another is that if you lose your rear gun you have no defense for the 6 position so a guy sitting in the top turret is a big help to finishing off that last con while you are maneuvering to give him a shot. I've been in both of these positions. It was in the sea event that said instance happened. So I don't allow people on my ship unless I know them well and then it's an honor have them join me.

Good idea.  And while we're at it how about fixing the gunner stuck in the ground till he alt+F4's bug.

Great suggestion Getback. This would have come in useful at times when we were playing GV Wars back in good ole' H2H.

Id also like to see a message in the text buffer telling me when my gunner has left my plane.

Like this idea. I still pick up strays ever now and again. But I usually reconize the name.

Put me down for a ditto on this one too.  Get back's story has happened to me too many times.  I hate to turn people down though because for some just starting in the game this is a way to learn something about deflection shooting and though I'm still a noob myself, I like to help where I can.
So yes, an eject button and message of same are really needed.

I highly like this idea; too many newbies and others join, and either miss or waste your ammo and then eject by themselves.

I don't accept gunners or observers but I'm anti-social.
