Title: Squad Tags

It occured to me the other day that it would be nice to see a player's squad tag added to an players icon. Currently the default friendly icon gives you the player's name with the distance under it. One needs to pull up the roster in order to see whaich squads are flying. How hard would it be to add another line for a squad tag, such as 353FG, LCA, or AoM? It would potentially be a good recruiting tool as well, when unaffiliated players see squaddies working together. Squad CO's would be given the option to create the tag, which would automatically show up for all squad members.

Thoughts?

I, personally, don't really care for it. I'm sure others might, however I don't see any use in it...

Nope, can't see a real benefit to it; it's enough that I know their name.  If I really need to know more, I'll talk to them on range or look on the roster...

If anything it would be next to it...for instance like the new COD:WaW

I like this idea,  make it optional if people don't like it they can turn it off.

i'd rather see their aircraft type with their name at the same time.. so's not to have to cycle thru the icon types..

I as well think it would be a good option. I don't know how much I would use it. One you fly this game for 6 months or so, I pretty much know what squad people are in.

But I won't shoot down the I idea because I might not use it. Don't think it would be that difficult to do.... :aok

I think it is a good idea, but not good enough to implement.  It is just more clutter, and it is very easy to check the roster for squad affiliation.
