Title: Bomb drop sounds

Just curious HT,will you guys be adding any bomb drop sounds?It's kinda cool to hear the bomb whistle it's way to the target and then an explosion when it hits the target.I just dont feel I'm doing anything when all I hear is a "click" and then a message saying I destroyed something.I wanna HEAR that impact!!hehe.   :D   :D

Ahem,

If you divebomb you get the whistle. If you divebomb close to the ground you get the whistle and explosion. If you divebomb REAL close to the ground you get the whistle, explosion and a free fast trip back to the tower.  :)

Now what else could you possibly want???  :confused:

Actually, this version the bombs WONT arm if you drop them THAT close to the ground.

Ive dropped an egg close to a gv when flying level, it didnt blow.

Ive been in tank and watch a bomb dropped almost on top of me (id say 50ft from above me) , saw it drop and hit my tank.. I think it bounced off. It sure didnt blow. Brrr!

I dont care about what pilots heard in real life RA,I want to hear bombs whistle and BIG explosions when I hit my targets.It's not too much to ask for I dont think,other games have it and this is just a "Game" isnt it??  ;)

Jag,

Go into your setup and redo your sounds preferances. You may be able to put the sounds you want higher than the other sounds in the game. Perhaps that would solve your desore for more bombing sounds.

Its that darned "free fast trip back to tower" part that I wish would stop  :D

Maybe if I just had the mechanics armor up the rear end of my planes a bit more it wouldn't happen as much  :)
After all what are they being paid to do anyway?!

uhm when im in a fighter i hear the bombs drop...prolly everyone else does too.

i assume you speak of bomb drop sounds in a bomber

all i did was copy the sound from the p-47 vbomb drop sound into the sound file folder of the various buffs...i get to hear the unrealistic, yet cool sounds of bombs dropping from by buff.
