DA is good if you ask someone to duel. It's just furball area which could be a heck lot better... if people would just furball it would be excellent. Instead you have pickers who grab up to 15k, or guys who get in zeros and think theyre the watermelon cause no one can turn as well as they cannn.. yehaw,.

Out of boredom and trying to bait a certain EW/MW player **cough*fireplug*cough** to the DA, Bronk and I spent some time in the furball lake.  We had fun chasing down Temps and F4U-4s.  We never really had any "good" fights.  Just Conga lines everywhere you looked.

Point taken, my issue with dweeb lake is the squad mentality and even numbers.  That said there is still  a lot of fun to be had and many great guys in that arena.  Take the lake for what it is.

You complain about A6M's in the DA pond?  I would have thought the prolific number of Spixteens would be a bigger boredom factor.

It's easier for a noob to screw Spixteen than a A6M. Spixteen can't automatically pull the stick back and gain the upper-hand, especially if the throttle is firewalled, can't swap ends and face you from virtually any range.

Just a thought....

Those 10 hours per week might show better results if you flew those 10 Hours in the Training Arena with a skilled Trainer, rather than Furball Lake in the DA.

10 hours against people like TC and Batfinkv is as good as it gets.

The DA..IS the training arena. Anyone who is half way decent has spent alot of time in a dueling arena at some point. The furball thing isnt what Im talking about. Its dueling people 1 on 1 like TC and Bat that make people improve. Before you know it,3k will be enough altitude and the days of picking and such will be behind you. Wtg.

Maybe for general MA stuff but if you want to build your fighter skills there's nothing better than to DA 1v1.

1vs1 will improve you a little. 3 vs 1 will improve you a lot.

It's one of the first things I think I've perfected but I'm still practicing.

DA's fun...BatfinkV hands me my butt for about an hour or 2 or so...one of the SE's did it not long ago...venture over to the furball area where I get picked or beat up on for another hour.

Fighting Bat is really the most I learn from. Being redHeaded I truly live up to the Redheaded stepchild thing.

well despite this exageration (we beat each other savagely, never fight without both taking damage) we generaly always both learn. Anyone can be the winner of each new fight and no two fights can be the same. The guys who have slapped me about over the years know who they are and one of them is you Red.
 S!

Edit: oh i just thought about this ans smiled....when i asked you what you thought about a spitfire squadron back in AH1, it was because you were the best spitfire i pilot i knew on knights and your reputation had caught my attention :)

TC is the head trainer.
