Slimmer, you can't go wrong with the 353rd. Great group of guys.
If you like Axis birds check out JG-54 and I think some JG-11 guys still fly AVA.
Good luck in your hunt.

The last few times they ran into me they would already have the town half way down and I would roll my tiger. They would all die to my pintle gun while they strafe it with they're .50 cals. Then they would all come back packing bombs. They would dive in and miss by a few hundred feet then call me a cheater because bombs wont kill me.

I suggest you stay up late or get up early because the only time they fly they're "aggressive" AvA missions are at about 3AM, so they only have to worry about fighting the town ack.

I remember the last time eagerfart was in there I chased him a full sector then right when I brake off he starts crying that I was running away. Mind you he was still heading the other way, which was right to his base.

To slimmer,

There are a few good squads that fly the AvA. You should fly with a few and see which one fits your stile. Some like to fly full historical with command structures and when you join them they assign you a callsign and wingman. But there are others, like JG54, that are just a bunch of guys who like flying together and no one is really in charge. Some like doing jabo mission, some base capture, and some just like to shoot at red guys (and your occasional green guy for a laugh). So like I said just fly a few days with a few squads and see which one you like.

P.S. Shifty if you ever want a good laugh challange 'ol eagle to a dual and watch what he says.

I met Slimmer in the arena for the first time tonight.  He's a class act, and a good pilot as well.  Warmongo and SWTarget will vouch for him also.

Hey, slimmer, good fights tonight.

Despite the occasional squad rivalry dramas   most of the squads are good guys.  You might want to just see who tends to fly when you do and ask to wing up with them.  Or you can do like we were all doing tonight -- simply tune 200 and chat with whoever.  Most nights (certainly not all), numbers are small enough that the squads will be broken up on both sides anyway.

Welcome to the AvA!

I got their act last year when the War setups were running. Roll the map when little or no opposition were on and then brag about it.
That was pretty much the final straw for me and the whole BOA thing.

Whewwwwwwwwww.. big talk. from shifty.. run from you... send me the film... your an ez kill to say the least.  you keep typing..I will keep laughing...  seems if your fly as good as ya run your mouth.. you might add up to something. I will play the part.... makes ya feel better.. seems that I might want to go check out the kills vs you and me and find out who really has the one on one.  SO, if you do have a film of me running.. please send it to me... would like to see you think that you actually did something.

Slimmer, best advice is to fly with some guys and talk to em on range.  See how they react to situations and how they fly.  You'll find a squad that fits your style of play that way.

Somtimes I like to just shoot stuff, sometimes I like to bomb, sometimes I get a historical itch and I'll attach myself to a squaddies wing, best thing about my squad is...thats all fine and dandy.

Some people prefer strict military protocol, that can be fun too if that's what your into, and there's some good squads that do that.  Just be patient and 'shop around'.  :)

All I have?

I was giving you a break. Do you realize your whole rant at me has nothing to do with what I posted?
You were either drunk, can't read, or just have a serious problem. You're posting on ignorance or anger
so I thought I'd keep it light to give you a chance to stop looking like a jerk. However you seem determined to do so.
Go ahead knock yourself out.
A shade vulcher asking other people if they have a life is just the icing on your cake of ignorance.  :lol

I guess you're right.  :lol

I should have just left the whole thread alone.
No need to point out the obvious.

I went into the EW and killed his squaddies a over and over. Then I found him in a 15K hurri and the first pass he HOed me and took out my oil. I pointed for home and because my plane was faster then him "I was scared to fight because I HOed him and got pwned". He said he was going to post the film but I guess he changed his mind.

I find it funny that even after him getting outed as a shade killer he still talks trash like hes king chit. Every time I ask him to the DA he always wants to duel for two grand a sortie. I wonder what would happen if I get the money and agree to that? Check out what he said after I landed a four kill sortie in a 109F and three of those kills were his squaddies.

Well like I said in my post above I should have left it alone instead of pointing out the obvious.
His actions and behavior really only hurt him. He does enough damage to his reputation without my help.

Sooner or later everybody will say or do something stupid, it's just part of being human.
Some people just don't stop Larry and never will.

5th SOAR will be vulching squadron member's shade accounts in AVA from time to time... seems we are too timid and unskilled to play any other way in the AvA or MAs.

Fixed.

I flew them as well when I was in my early teens. I got back into it for a while with my sons when they were younger.

It's a cool hobby. Have seen the people that do the high power model rockets? That's a whole different animal.
