Hi, I've been thinking about this for a bit, but I think I may actually do it. I want to be able to create my own videos from scratch on my computer. No video camera recording first, no recording from a game, none of that. I want to make an animation completely from scratch exactly how I want it to be.
I want to create a video to go along with a song by one of my most favorite bands ever, but I need the right program to create the animation. I've been searching the web and found this Adobe Flash CS4 Professional (http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/) (of course the program I'm looking for is going to be Adobe  ), but I wanted to know if there is anything else out there that may be exactly what I'm looking for.
Should I go for the Adobe Flash CS4 Professional or is there something better I can buy?

If you are into 2D vector graphics, Flash is the way to go. You may consider a 3D modelling/rendering software. Any of the two has a steep learning curve.
