Title: ATi Fire GL X2 256T

I'm looking to maybe, replace the card I have. Due to my total lack of knowledge in this area is ATi Fire GL X2 256T an ok card? I currently run with an ATi 9600 gt 128mb and am happy with this card but the fan is bugging me. I am going to look about for a fan for the card I have but am also looking at some other options.

The "Fire GL" cards are workstation cards designed to run OpenGL applications very well.  The DirectX support for them is not very good.
