Title: Ringtones
Post by: ODBAL on February 03, 2009, 03:44:32 PM
Just got a new phone, and it has no good ringtones, It doesnt actually even have a "ringing" tone in it.  I was wondering if anyone could recommend a place that has a good variety of sounds.  I googled ringtones and there are a million of them, but I was hoping someone here knew of a site they used and trusted.

Thanks

www.myxer.com (http://www.myxer.com)

www.phonezoo.com (http://www.phonezoo.com)

These are the two that I use...mainly Myxer because I can upload a song and make my own ringtone if they don't have it

If your phone can play an MP3 as your ringtone, the sky is the limit.  For example, I downloaded a MP3 of a BRM F1 car making a high speed pass and use it as my ringtone.

Speaking of which, many new phones will not allow an mp3 as a ringtone.  Does anyone know of a website that you can upload an mp3 file and convert it to a ringtone file then download?  Is there a ripper that will do this?

I just put music on my phone and use that for a ring tone.  Currently using  Drowning Pool, Enemy.

I don't realy use Phonezoo, but everyone around here in my school does and they swear up and down it's free.  I think the only charge would be the charge of the text message it sends you with the ringtone.  So the only charges you would get are the charges for each text you receive from them, because they aren't part of your plan (unless you have unlimited text and PIX messaging like I do  ;))

I would never try to download anything from any of these sites. I would never visit the sites, either.

Put a selection of songs onto your phone to use as ringtones.

Yeah, well most new phones in the US don't allow you to use mp3s as ringtones.
