After further designs and multiple meetings with several of golf's top-notch golf ball makers, it has been announce the HTC has began to run its own golfing business as well as running AH. On behalf of the HTC staff and the AH bulletin boards, I now present to you HTC's first golf ball production:

:D
Thanks to Callaway for reminding me of the AH BBS :)

That ball was garbage. Barely lasted a year. Try the TourIX. That's a good ball Callaway makes now. Bet you can't swing hard enough to compress it though Banshee.
:P

I Play with the Bridgstone E6, Nike ONe Platinum, and Titleist Pro-V1x
Swing speed of near 95mph and ball speed over 140
Lemme correct this. I've BEEN playing with the Nikoe One and Pro-v1x, this year I'm switching to the E6 to see how I like it
-
My swing tops around 45 and my ball speed on a good day tops around 90.
its all in the form.
-
you guys are way, way too into golf.
I use balls i find that other guys have sliced into the deep rough, or fished them out of the water.
What the hell. I'm going to lose them anyway.
-
I play with these. It's funnier when I lose them.

I played with the Mojo when it first came out...didn't like it at all. They now fill my shag bag

Used to play the Callaway Hot Bite. Played the IX for the rest of the year after their release and loved em. Nice shaping off the tee but amazing short and up to the green IMO ;) Granted, I wouldn't say the East TN greens are anywhere near slick. However, the IX ball just sticks when it hits em.

West TN Bermuda greens are what I usually play on...very slow :lol
-
Or play discgolf, it's better. :D

nah go with your buddies an bring a shotgun an play skeet :rock
-
I chase golfers with my bat. Easy to hit, but you have to chase em down first unless you sneak up on them and get a clean pick. Havent tested the speed but they do move fast before you hit them.

Disc golf is cheaper and you can drink while you play and not worry about someone blowing their foot off from an alcohol/gunsport accident :D
Oh, and girls are a big plus too. See above photo.
:aok

How many of your friends ask you to meet up in Augusta for 'disc golf' and send a plane around to pick you and the wife up? or offer a suite at the Arabella so they can pick up a few tips on 'disc golf?' :D

I wouldn't know, my friends and I aren't loaded with cash to burn on a game like you and yours apparently.

Golf can change your life and you do not have to be good at golf.
-
I have done alot of business on the golf course and had fun while doing it. Lots of contacts too.

Silly hippie! My buddy Matt and I used to play campus golf thru hippies on the park with wedges and real golfballs. Had to lob it over cars and people and occasionally whisk one real close to some stoner who woulda had trouble dodging the backhoe in Austin Powers :P
Great fun, and I'd play frisbee golf if the chicks that played were hot. But seriously man, hippie girls are nasty toejam. Maybe you get so stoned you can stand to look at them.
;)

There is nothing like playing 18 holes , and the enjoyment that comes from it . I use Maxfli Noodle as I get older I find my swing speed has dropped considerably and I now use a softer ball . Golf is alot like Aces High in golf I can hit a hundred shots but the one great one keeps you playing , In aces high I take off a hundred times but that one kill keeps you coming back . :devil

Its not about money for me either but the people I have met through golf are first rate. :aok

As someone who has been golfing now off and on for about 15 years, starting around 20 years old...I can honestly say I'm very frustrated with golf.
Any tips? I got rid of the beginner slice and brought it back in only to finally rid myself of it yesterday. I think I'm practicing bad technique. I had two lessons and was doing GREAT after 15 minutes on the first lesson, but couldn't get back into what he was trying to get me to do.
I JUST relearned my grip and the proper way to hold the club...but I'm STILL not sure if I am holding it too loose, too tight...with the right finger placement etc etc. I think there is too much placed on grip other than the tension thing which even when I'm too tense I loosen it and STILL am too tense..so I do the 'hold the club with the pinky only' rule and seem to hit ok but something else will go wrong (hit flat, slice etc etc)
I guess practicing golf is probably the key. I try to get out once a week during the 7 months that the ground isn't frozen.
What can a guy like me do?
I just dumped my old sears clubs about year ago and picked up some used Cal x16's with new golf pride grips on them. My putting went to crap as my eyes have developed an issue in the past couple years, but I'm retraining them. I NEVER used to 3 putt and could always chip within half the green distance to the pin from anywhere 60yards and in.
Suggestions?

I practice as close to daily as I can. 120 balls off of the driver to warm up (after stretching) and then long irons (120 again) and wedges. Then I practice pitching and chipping until I land 80 balls inside of a 24" target (doesnt matter if they roll out I just want to hit where I aim).
Getting rid of a slice YESTERDAY means you need to practice without the slice for another month. I used to practice grip tension by holding the club vertical and then increasing the grip tension so that as I move the club out in front of me to the horizontal I have just enough grip to hold onto the club. Thats just right for tension and it doesnt take much. It is virtually impossible to swing with too little pressure so lighten up! :D
You do grip with opposing palms? Some people tighten their grip by rotating palms together. Thats wrong and leads to control problems.
There are a lot of ways to add a slice to your swing so its hard to say what your doing wrong. Most amateurs push off the club at the top which causes the club head off plane and then they swing outside to in (over the top). Some amateurs tilt their spine to the left which starts off a slice and then attempt to correct it by aiming more to the left... Your shoulders should be parallel with your intended swing line.
You can practice your swing line by putting a shaft on the ground in front of your tee and one behind (give them about one foot off the tee) and then swing down those shafts. If from the golfers position you see the club head center going down that line then you have swung straight.
Maybe you should find a video camera and record your swing at the range. Its amazing how seeing yourself and recognizing the error can improve your swing.
I love golf! :salute

Even the par 3 is 15 or 20 a round. Buy a 10 dollar disc and your set for years with disc golf.
