OK, flying along in my F6F, about 10K, cruising for a bruising, when I look forward. Well hello, an F4U. Chog no doubt, coming straight at me, going for the HO. I know I have no chance against those cannons, so I wait till he's at about 900 feet and then do a sharp nose down to go under him. He tries to follow and gets off a lucky snapshot and takes my tail off. "We hell..." I say to myself and depress the trigger in anger. As the nose comes around, he gets hit by a lucky shot from me and his wing falls off. As I sit gaping at my screen for the impossible thing before me, (I get the kill) I bail out and float down. As I float down I get this from him. He's a newbie and I don't know his handle, but this is the exact conversation:
Newbie: I hate you damn HO dweebs!
semperfi: Excuse me?
Newbie: You HO'd me you dweeb!!
semperfi: What? What do you mean?
Newbie: You HO'd me!
semperfi: I HO'd you?!?
Newbie: Yes you did!
semperfi: How? Might I inquire.
Newbie: You flew at me and killed me!
semperfi: Ok, so let me get this straight, You flew at me, HO'd my tail off, then I kill you with a lucky shot and I HO'd you?
Newbie: YES!!!!
semperfi: How can I HO you from behind with no tail?
Newbie: Uh..I dunno...but you HO'd me!
semperfi <.squlch Newbie>

This is why we need .45's or a 9mm when we're hanging in our chutes. To finish the job while floating down across from each other or running up to this puppy and taking him out when he's on the ground.

That’s what I’m talking about!
Two individuals have a problem… don’t worry about it, do the honorable thing! Bail out and square off 10 paces. Hell, maybe HTC can institute a pistol dueling arena. Also if you run out of amo in your ride, just pop open the canopy and, with one hand on the stick, the other outside, let er rip. We can call em fly bye’s instead of drive bye’s.

I think in the newbie manual it says that if the person you just ho'd kills you it was he that ho'd you and is thus a dweeb (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)
