Title: Anyone else unable to view the water movies?

Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I'm unable to view the movies of the new water on the front page. One's avi and the other is mpg.

yup I tried it on 4 different viwers and no joy. Just gave up.

download the free FRAPS version...you need the FRAPS codec.  I couldn't view it either until I got that codec.  Now it plays fine in Windows Media Player...and looks really nice too.

it'd 2 seconds long, FWIW.

First one worked, 2nd one said I needed FRAPS.

The mpg played properly in WMP after I downloaded it to my hard drive.  The AVI did not.  I downloaded a GNU license video player suggested in another thread, VLC, and it plays both the mpg and avi properly.

I viewed the mpg one... looks good... Does anyone know if this done using directX 9 or 10?

It will look really nice with the new terrain.  :aok No problems here it worked fine.

Unless something is wrong with my WMP, the videos are only 2 seconds or so long and just show the water shimmering a bit.

Get the full size AVI and put it on repeat (loop). It doesnt cycle quite right but it looks good just the same.

Thank you!  Now I can wistfully gaze at the farmhouse that's about to slide into the shimmering water.
