I am not really mad about this anymore, but this is just something you don't expect, or not me anyway. Here is my story:
Me and my squaddys were taking off to take out hangers at a Bishop field. This Bishop field was located close to a Knight field, but thought nothing of it. We managed to take out all hangers, so we focused on town. Some of town was already down, but we finished it, so we ran goons in. The goons kept dieing by the few straglers still left, so I decided to take up a goon. When I got to the base, I had town insight, and friendlys in hot persuit of the straglers, so I went for town. Then I saw a Knight spit16 coming at me. I thought "Okay, he is trying to get some kills", but he missed, and I air droped the troops. The spit16 came back around and I got ready to die, but when I looked back, he was killing all my troops! Did you catch that? A KNIGHT defending a BISHOP field!!! Only one troop lived.
Right after this, buildings popped in town, and the hangers popped on the field. I never caught this guy's name, but whoever it was, saved the field.

Everything that's not green: enemy.
Does it matter a Nit Spit broke the cap you had over town (I hope you had one ;) ) or a Bish? Your side failed to protect the troops, they died.
Maybe he had even some strategic reason... for example keeping a Bish/rook battle up, so Nits could do other things or (outnumbered as they often are) get some additional respite.

So what? I don't think it matters much. They are both enemy in his eyes.

:salute to that unknown Knit!! :rofl
BTW, I betcha he wasn't "defending" Bish......he was stopping Rooks. :devil

Ever think they wanted to steal the cap from you rooks and take the field?
-
Sounds like there was an interesting fight going on over the field... I would have done the same thing if I were the Spitfire Mk16. I don't help friendlies trying to take the field in that situation, either...

BINGO! Killing their troops and bringing your own is always worth a few laughs :lol

Why would you get mad in the first place over something as trivial as this? It's no big deal and to tell the truth, if you and the other attackers had a CAP established, this probably would never have happened.

Are you sure it wasn't a bish, that switched sides, to bring a
plane from the closest field.. If the hangers were down, then
I'd bet that thats exactly what that was about...
Seen it happen MANY times...

Either he did it just to get the exact reaction you are providing now
or
he is probably absolutely clueless as to what chess piece you were. This is more likely, as you say he completely missed the first time trying to kill your goon in a spit 16. He probably saw red, figured it was the same enemy he'd been fighting, has no idea what troops are or what they do, and just shot at red.
The real question is, would it have mattered even if it was a knight defending a bish field? I kill troops all the time in fights between the other two sides. It's funny. And also, who wants the field to be captured and all the ack return?

I have watched bish an rook battling and snuck troops in twice-makes for a good string of rants on 200
