I think you get the idea.

Was suggested in the "I like the old way thread"

I liked the idea too, and when I didn't see a thread here.  I started one.

It is just streak while the same sortie..
When you land, its not the same sortie anymore when you take off couple seconds after..

Though, some additional counter for whole life time streak would be nice..

Amen, brother.  Although, I don't think it should be reset if you bail or ditch in friendly territory either.  And if you escape capture (based on a dice roll after bailing/ditching in enemy terrtory) you should be able to maintain your streak as well.

I agree with this too.  It would be nice to continue a streak if you manage to land your kills.  (Gunners for bombers have this happen for them.)

Thats because of a bug, because player never really flies himself.

When you fly, you send a command to the host (.fly), which will do many things.
When you gun for someone, you never send that same ".fly" to server, so few things are left undone.

Hell don't reset my streak even if I land anywhere on the airbase!

In Europe, the Pacific and on the German/Soviet front, there were many fields without paved runways.  I have a lot of books of photos of VVS and Luftwaffe ops.  There seem to be a lot more unpaved fields than paved fields.  Often not even a runway, just an open expanse with planes parked at the treeline.

When some poore hot a** bugger is working his way up past the 20's or 30's or what ever you can be sure all the virtual dont-give-a toejam-just-wanna-ruin-someones-day kamikaze's is gonna swarm.

Give us a "Streak" colume in the TOD statistics in stead.
