Title: VOX transmit beep
Post by: sigfla on February 08, 2009, 04:00:48 PM
I have my receive beep on but I would love to hear a beep when transmitting. It took me a long time to  figure out my radio was working without it and it would help clear up some overtalk on radio chatter.

Just ask for a radio check when you log on to make sure

But hes trying to make a point that he didn't know what the buttons for Vox and range were because he didn't hear the beep. Its a suggestion that could help new guys.

When I was a newb I'd press F12 Constantly expecting it to be a plane command. And I don't think a new guy would type .radio 5 NAME. Thats like a different language to them unless they took the time to read the manual which I think we all would never take the time to. I glanced at it when I first started but thats it. It would be nice to hear the beep.

  :salute
