Title: How Often Do You Play?
Post by: thndregg on February 09, 2009, 11:23:11 PM: Simple question. Me- Friday night, sporadically on Saturday & Sunday when I'm that damn bored.

Post by: choker41 on February 10, 2009, 12:21:42 AM: I'm addicted so it's everyday. Mostly from 3 EST till 5 EST. Then back for more at 5:15 till I get ganged Hoed or owned. A quick 5min break and now it's 5:30 and on till 11:00 or so. :D

Then, I nearly always play a lunchtime game for an hour or hour and a half. Sometimes I might even play a short bit when I get home from work.

fortunately, MG151s have fun time with Mr. Uptowns Mustang so i have enough time to pop him before i go boom or have my wing roots removed from his commander. :lol

Including if I'm busy in the TA helping people or just flyin and diein. I don't log a lot of hours compare to some, but they would sure add up if you go all the way back to when I started flying.

Post by: Grind on February 12, 2009, 03:47:15 AM: Never since I deleted my account last Thursday evening. The withdrawl symptoms are getting a little easier (NOT). I was probably averaging at least 100 hours a month when I was playing. Now I'm trying to get into a WW1 sim called "Over Flanders Fields" (OFF). I can't though. OFF is basically a single player RPG with very limited multiplayer ability, the AI sucks as does the in-plane view system. When I think of OFF a couple of old sayings come to mind... "If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is" and " A fool and his money are soon parted". I even downloaded Warbirds a couple months ago and was equally disappointed. I tried IL-2 when HTC quit offering 8-player but I didn't care for it either. Aces High is simply the best out there. There is a little something in the game for everyone.... just not everytime you log in. If you can deal with that, you're golden. Its just a game but I do miss it and all the friends I've met here. A big :salute to HTC and the people who play the game, you guys are the best! :aok

Been through the 80-90 hour per month phase, but for the last year it had been 10-20 per month. Last few weeks haven't even logged on, and am thinking about deleting account. I think its just burnout, but could also be the natural history of game addiction. Never stayed with a game anywhere near this long before.

Probably will be back after getting a break. After all, nothing like it anywhere....and nothing gets me like aviation.

I hear ya' Sim. I don't get into it much anymore, especially when disagreements come up in BBS or in-game that are absolutely so trivial, I have other hobbies I choose to do that actually accomplish something worthwhile.

I just came out of one of those phases and am playing daily. It just what a retired disabled guy does lol. :aok

I know the feeling Sim. Years ago I played Ultima Online for about 5 yrs straight. When I reached the point to where I would automatically log into the game whenever I got home, and then just sit there, I knew it was time to stop.
