Hi everyone :salute
Having a bit of a problem with sound ever since installation of Vista, whereas on Windows XP
all sounds worked great, now I've to turn the sound up ALL THE WAY UP just to barely hear
anything.
Tried the "dxdiag" & that's entirely different from WindowsXP, no place to adjust sound nor to
test sound, tried the info on my "SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio", put it all the way up to 100% & barely an audible difference.
Sounds whilst playing AHII are weak although I did do all the necessary adjustments per Aces High instructions. When turning on my computer & the Vista screen appears I get a very weak
musical beep, any way to have control over my sound difficulties? Pls help. TY.

Go to your control panel and run the Sound applet and then under the Playback tab click on your Speakers or Headset and then on the lower right click on Properties. Under the levels tab turn up to 100%.
Under the Recording tab click on Properties again and then select Custom and check the Microphone Boost checkbox. Then under the Levels tab make sure the Microphone is at 100% (ignore if you dont use a mic).

Just an adder. Take care with the record level. If the gain is too high for the microphone, the result will be garbled voice.

TY Skuzzy, will do, shall keep it at 3/4 level as I did in Windows XP, thx for the
adder. :)
