I also blame the role model in his father who's fathered 9 kids already.

That's not the youngest family in Britain, though. In the 90's a 12 year old became the father of a child in Britain. Still VERY sad, though.

Quote
Britain’s youngest known father is Sean Stewart. He became a dad at 12 when the girl next door, 15-year-old Emma Webster, gave birth in Sharnbrook, Bedford, in 1998. They split six months later.

It really is sad.  No other way to view it.  At 13, a young boy should be play with toys, not doing the wild thing.     :frown:

To be honest I, on a complete hunch, think there's probably a history of sexual abuse in her family... Not fun stuff to go through and sticks with you forever, and at her age (I'm guessing 14ish?) she'd be highly susceptible to things of that nature... :/

Back in the '70s it was pretty common for kids to first do the nasty in 2nd year of High School. But 13yo is to young, most of all when your partner in the dirty deed is so much older.

They used to say of Yanks, "over-paid, over-sexed, and over-here". Now its the other way around. It must be the climate, perfect for shagging.

And why is this a big deal? Is it not that comman in GB? I knew a girl down the road that got knocked up three times before she was seventeen. It wasn't because of sexual abuse it was because her mother (dad was long gone) didn't give a toejam and she wasn't smart enough to take birth control or make him wear a rubber.

I don't know about you guys but by the time I was thirteen I knew what sex was and how to do it. I was 14 and the girl was 13. Only difference was I wasn't a handsomehunk like that kid in the picture. I put on a rubber because the last thing I wanted was a kid.

I was the same. Ill tell you now though, now that I'm older, I'm actually quite embarrased I was only 13, because there IS such a thing as too young, and by Christ, I WAS too young. Hell, often times I think I'm still too young now. But I too was safe EVERY time. Perhaps it's the sex-ed I had, but a problem we have out here is, when a girl is having sex with a guy here she really likes, there are a LOT of girls here who will TRY to get pregnant so the guy will be stuck with them. I had a girl who REALLY wanted to be "unsafe". I knew better. I damned well didn't want a kid, and even at 13 I was smart enough not to fall for it. But it's still disgusting. I am disgusted at this kid, especially for his decisions and the fact that he looks like a toddler, and I am disgusted at myself for a similar mistake. Only I'm lucky I had the brains to avoid a nine-month-timebomb.

Heck, I lost my virginity at 13 but I already knew three things:
1) This mofo is overpopulated
2) Most people who have children, are incapable of raising them
3) If you don't wear a condom you might get... or give an STD
4) Pregnancy is the worst STD a man can give a woman!

Although some of you gave me a little too much information, there's no doubt that most people become sexually active too early.  We know this from hindsight, don't we? ;)  From what I can remember, the pressure to become sexually active as a teenager is probably the biggest thing on your average 15-year old's mind (if they haven't already).  It's the yard-stick by which teenagers measure each other; woe to the kid who graduates high school a virgin... Or not.  In fact, after going to a community college and transferring to a good 4 year university, I learned that a lot of the successful students never had sex in high school.  They were probably shunned by the cool kids and weren't invited to the best parties, but none of that mattered because the cool kids were flipping burgers while they were earning degrees.

In our society we have no ritual for becoming an adult, but adolescents desire to be perceived as adults and, to some extent, to undertake adult responsibilities.  Lacking any other certification of adulthood, it's no surprise that sex is the substitute.

Publicist Max Clifford has taken over dealing with Alfie Patten's media relations since baby Maisie was born to girlfriend Chantelle Steadman, 15.

Clifford told Sky News Online: "There will be a DNA test, I think so."

The family has dominated headlines since the news first emerged at the end of last week.

But over the weekend, more young teenage boys came forward, claiming they could be baby Maisie's father.

Alfie, from East Sussex, has already pledged to be a "good dad... and care for it". The claims he might not be Maisie's biological father seem to have made the teenager more determined to prove his case.

He told The Sun that if he has a DNA test, it will confirm what he already knows and then the other boys "can all shut up".

And Chantelle has insisted to The Sun: "There has been no one else."

She told the newspaper she loves Alfie and has never slept with another boy.

Alfie, a young-looking 13-year-old, is not facing any charges over his underaged sexual relationship with Chantelle. Instead, police and social workers have said they will support the family as it grows.

Children's Secretary Ed Balls told Sky News on Friday the situation involving the two teenagers was "awful".

A constant human struggle; self preservation or honor?

I have both personal and anecdotal experience of "doing it" right around the corner from parents. The latter with the door wide open and near line-of-sight (I'm not THAT stupid. See to the left...). The parents may have been right down the hall in this case; you never know.

Self-preservation at this point.

Have to agree. I have been walked in on by both my parents and hers, and somehow didn't get caught. (I'm still not sure if her Dad is just gullible/trusts me, or just figured it would be easier to pretend he was clueless...). BUT of course, that begs the question, why were the kids allowed to be alone like that to begin with? And why were they not raised to know better? I'm not saying kids should grow up to fear sex, but for christ's sake, use SOME form of protection! Hell, that stupid saran wrap idea is better than nothing!

from whats been said in the news lately that girls had more noodles then a ww2  pistol,so far at least 2 other boys said she played hide
the sausage with them.

The only reason they get knocked up is because the British government are too soft.
there should be no benefits,no free house,no free anything for the lazy buggers.

The main thinking with teenagers now seems to be get knocked up get a flat live off the benefits and do sod all while others keep them.

if we stopped giving them hand outs and they had to work and pay for everything they sure as hell would keep there legs closed a bit longer.

I believe in Holland i may be wrong ,the age of concent is 13 but as they get no state benefits there pregnancy is about 70% lower.

I'm getting fed up paying for all these lazy freeloading scumbags

It's the natural instinct to preserve the species vs restrictions in our modern society. The humans would have been extinct long ago, if all our ancestors would have get married and procreate around 25-30 years old, when they finished education , got a job make enough $$ to pay the bills, the average life span was aprox 35 years until 20th century.

maybe it was love at first sight.

Something has to be amiss with that girl's house/parents, whatever attention she was hungering for she now has and then some.  I highly doubt this 15-yo girl woke up one morning ~9 months ago and casually decided to explore her newfound "adulthood" with every bloke on the block she could get alone with.

My parents were very liberal when I was growing up, but they still made sure I wasn't getting into too much trouble.  By 13 my father had "the talk" with me, showed me the box of rubbers he stashed in the bathroom and told me very clearly "now you got no excuse until you're living on your own".  My parents even let me have my girlfriends over, unconditionally too (which, hey, as a couple of horney teenagers we didn't sit and ponder the "why"s alone in my room for long and just enjoyed it), they always liked my girlfriends and seemed to enjoy the extra smile (and pair of hands) willing to help around the house.  It was rude not to invite them to eat with the family for dinner when they were there, but otherwise they could spend the night or move in to my room for all my parents cared.

It was so liberal around my house that I think a couple of my first girlfriends rather preffered spending the evening at their parents house where they actually had the challenge and excitement of getting caught doing something they shouldn't of been... *sigh* those naughty crazy high school girls.  Thank god most settle down and into women around the time most of us guys are busy getting too drunk for our senses after finding a keg to keel over.

That, actually, is exactly my situation. The only extreme downside I really see to it is that extra heartbreak one incurs when a sexual relationship ends, but what's another two years tacked onto that? I'd end up dealing with it anyway.

He looks like he is 6, so she is a pedifile, and she is uglier than a hog, which means he has bad taste.

Relationships that exist simply because of lust are a thousand times easier to disolve because of a lack of attached emotions to break IMO.  I do not believe that a relationship climaxes or reaches it's peak once it goes physical and sexual, it's simply another activity you enjoy doing and together with your loved one.  Those that do I don't think have had enough experience to know that sex in general is highly over rated.  They achieve that level of a relationship with someone and then that's it, they either stop trying or give up on building the relationship compared to if they hadn't gone physical/sexual.

Yeah sex is good, everyone likes it and wouldn't mind having more, but it's over rated for sure.

That's more or less what I meant by that, actually. I take sex as something that should help the relationship continue and be a nice show of love. Seems like I've caught all the girls that have the stereotypical "guy" mentality; get the sex and ditch. :noid

Sex over-rated?  I think you mean there's too much status associated with it. ;)

I don't think many 13 year old boys are going to refuse if a 15 year old girl spreads for him, ugly or not. Especially with a face like his.

I think there's a word for that in 13-yr old language what was it..

Oh yeah, hitting the jackpot!  :aok :lol

The main thinking with teenagers now seems to be get knocked up get a flat live off the benefits and do sod all while others keep them.

I clicked the link and got  "This video is not available in your country." It's ironic because the show was made in my country. I loled.

No, it's definetley over-rated IMO.  It lost its association with social status/higherarchy for me quickly after High School.  Yeah when I was much younger and didn't have that status I strived to achieve it, but upon achieving it I was quickly disapointed that it wasn't "all-that".  Maybe I was too young when I did first have it and because of my youth back then I was expecting it to be more than what it simply was.

I cannot agree with this statement.

Definitely not over-rated. At all.
