I went to ahevents.org to check out who I killed/was killed by. After viewing my stats, their was a change to how I remember ending my night. I was shot down by several LA's and died yet the stats page says that I landed successfully. Also the base it said I landed at was over 5 sectors away from where I died.

I shot up a low Ki and my squaddie Temo collided with him. I saw the Ki land in the water. I never got a kill, and Temo was killed by unknown enemy.

A squaddie of mine said he shot the wing off a plane and was not awarded a kill or assist. In fact. no one in the squad was awarded a kill or assist for that. :noid

We will be looking into this. Seems to be a glitch between the arena, the server and the log parser.

So Bannor is taken care of, I don't see any of your names in the logs, so I have to assume your BBS id is not your in-game name. So if you need something, posting your in-game name in your post would be a helpful thing for anyone to actually look up any discrepancies.

There's a game bug that occasionally gives a 'landed' to people who get shot down and crash. It's pretty rare but it happens every once in a while (in fact I had it happen to me a couple of nights ago). I would assume that FSO is not immune to this.

ok -- maybe its the cold, cold medicine or what not, but I can't find Stodd in the logs for Friday night.
It has to be the cold -- just checked again and I see the action as follows:
22:32 you launched.
23:0x you kill a few
23:34 Sled kills you and RedTop, Gumby, Nosey get assists on you
23:34 instead of you showing a death, you get a land which as pointed out by Motherland happens occasionally in all arenas.
Sorry I was a wee bit *b*itchy in the first post.
So the logs show that you were killed by a player, but due to the glitch the data for your stats shows a landing. If flight had been enabled, you would have spawned in the hangar with the plane/loadout you had previously launched with due to the "feature" that pops its head up every once and a while. There's not a whole lot I can do about it with the logs.
Thanks for pointing it out, but it wouldn't have mattered for the scoring as GD checks kills versus tallying landed. Stoney's scoring method may have been impacted, but only slightly.
