A major lawfirm sued a small start-up company for trademark infringement over the smaller company's use of links. The judge, who was overtly hostile to the defendants, disregarded multiple requests for dismissal, forcing the start-up to settle rather than face trial against a significantly larger and richer firm.
Never mind the "Free Speech" implications of the suit, but this is an absurd case of financial cyber-bullying.
Now I'll probably get sued for linking the Slate article. :rolleyes:

Depends what they did with the links - if they were giving a 'service' using files hosted by an another company and without a separate agreement to do so, it might spell trouble.

Nope. It was just a link to the other company's site.
The argument was that it was "deceptive" and implied a relationship between the two companies.

Nah true christians want only violent, genocide and homicide sites linked to them to maintain true christian spirit. Same goes for muslims.
