Title: NEW FORM OF PAYMENT
Post by: lsgs on February 17, 2009, 05:32:32 PM
Hey guys what i would like to see is a different kind of payment.. first of all let me say how wonderful the game is ,,i pay for a year at a  time. but i  pay in cash.. i usually pay for everything in cash. i rarely use a credit card. don't have too. i think that  ah would benefit from some sort of electronic funds transfer set up so folks could pay in a form of cash. i also think this would generate some new business for ah. it seems to be the wave of the now.  heck even setting up billing to accept paypal would be great. its linked to verified email addresses. i just hate writing checks anymore too.  i know someones going to say use a credit card... well i just refuse  to use those dam things unless i absolutely have to.. and i don't see a need to have to here when eft is readily available. besides on a c.c. not only is the card holder paying a percentage to the cc issuer but the merchant is paying between 4 and 8% per transaction to the cc issuer for the privilege of taking the dam thing.
i think this would help a lot of gamers who may be struggling in these great financial times as an option to stay in the ah comunity instead of racking up more c.c. debt. anyone got  a better idea?

Mail HTC a check or Money order, make it a big enough check and I hear they throw in a free month.

I'm pretty sure you can pay with cash, or check at least.
In fact I used to do it that way. Call the office or e-mail them I'm sure they'll help you out.

HTC will work out a multitude of ways to get you your subscription. Call Rosie and she'll get you all hooked up. Yes, I'm pretty certain some of the methods you would like to use will be accepted. You simply have to ask, nicely.

I did the 6 month thing (you're 6th is free), and on the 5th month, they charged me twice.

You can use an atm card with a mastercard or visa symbol and it works just like eft.

Have you seen PayPal fees?  They would have to up the montyly rate just to cover them.  Those folks at PayPal have a racket going.  All that just to be the middleman for a transaction.

That would have been an easily rectified error.  Given how our system works, I cannot visualize how that could have happened.  Regardless, it is not the norm.

I use the Wal-mart card myself and have found no problems with it at all. If you load $1000.00 or more in it per month there is no fee applied to it. It is alot easier than it sounds and it is accepted anywhere they accept cc including here. :salute

Skuzzy uses special clear insulation on his network wires so he can watch the traffic.  If he sees something interesting he'll coil the cable to create a loop and it goes through twice.

I've had a few billing issues myself, such as they don't charge the CC subscription and e-mail me saying my account is negative. But when that happens, I find the AH staff to be the most pleasant, helpful, and all-around outstanding people to deal with. Just tell them, and it will be solved!

Rosie is the best!  Very quick to respond to any billing issue, and most forgiving when it's your fault.  (Ive had a few of those  :devil).

I thought Skuzzy coiled the cable to make people disco in 262s... :noid
