Like many others, I got the letter in the mail that my credit card was cancelled on Feb 2nd. New one isn't going to show til March 7.
Is HTC giving those of us a grace period til the replacement arrives?
Or...should I call the office?
-
Call them or send email. That's the best way to deal with it.

I did one transaction on the internet about three years ago and within two weeks I had a call from the bank that my card number had been found on a hard drive in England during an arrest there. :(
-
Just drop an email to Carrie (billing@hitechcreations.com) and let her know the situation.
-
Email sent, thanks!
Man, having to use a CHECKBOOK again to pay bills...how 80s! :)

i know not many people seem enthused by the thought, but pay pal is definitely a good idea in this day and age of h4xxors!
if they get jacked and someone takes you identity or card info and uses it then pay pal is financially responsible for any loses or harms you suffer. you are paying them for the security services they provide thus making them liable for any harms or damages you suffer due to their failure to perform these services.
nothing is truly secure, but the pennies you pay, for the knowledge that if something does go sideways then someone else is responsible for cleaning up the mess, is a pretty fair deal.
just a thought

You should research Paypal better. They are not a bank, just a service.
Read up http://www.paypalsucks.com/

I have a seperate account at the bank (actually still in FM) and use that account for PayPal transactions only otherwise there is never enough money in the account to hurt.

well that was an interesting read.
i didnt know they had given so many people so much grief. i know only one person personally that ever had an issue with their cc after using pay pal and once he went through the process of submitting his complaint pay pal reimbursed him within 30 days. they even gave him a temp number (with a spending limit) to use as an online cc until his bank reissued him a new card. maybe he just got lucky when he filed with them or maybe his claim was just low enough (around $80 i think) for them to figure that fixing was cheaper than fighting.
didnt know about all the rest, my bad i guess.

All of those problems can be avoided by using a second account for paypal. If you have seriously had problems like this you should start listening to consumer advocate Clark Howard who went to battle with PayPal years ago. I think the paypalsucks site is also holding a grudge from years ago before they (paypal) got pushed by ebay to clean up their act.
