It's so much easier than it was...these days you can take one section at a time in different sittings of the exam.
When I did it you had to write all 4 parts in two days. 8 hours day 1...8.5 hours day 2.
Remember that movie "Back to School"...when Dangerfield finally finishes his oral economics exam he's all messed up and says "I feel like I just gave birth...to an accountant!"...that's EXACTLY how it felt after the second day. ;)

I think that changed in 2000. Now though you have to have 150 credit hours to sit for the exam. That's why I had to go back to school.

To qualify to write I needed a Bachelor's degree with a minimum requirement of accounting courses...don't recall any 150 credit hour requirement.
It's still a tough tough exam no matter how you look at it.
I was just twisting your titties on the "It's so much easier these days..." thing.
