Title: Chess Piece plane use Data......
Post by: Dadsguns on February 25, 2009, 12:11:37 PM
Is there a way to see what the most common type of aircraft used by each chess piece would be?
Ranking it from most popular used to the least?

I'm sure Lusche will post some charts by end of the day.  :D

I'm sorry, that's not possible. There's currently no way to get any numbers by country.

The country's must be all the same "like all stuff" with what birds are flown.

It could be possible but it would be a PITA.

You would have to go to Expanded Stats and Plane vs. Country and work your ways backwards.  But it only shows kills, not sorties.

Doesn't really work. While it says "A-20 has XXX kills of Bishops", it doesn't say what those Bish were flying, and it doesn't say how many of those A-20s had been Knights or Rooks.

I'm going to take a wild guess here and say the most popular rides for each individual side are the P51D and Spit16.

My world just fell apart.  If Lusche can't do it, we all may as well give up now.   :lol

You haven't thought this through Bruder.....................

In theory, using AKUAG Pilot Stats application, you can load in ALL of the pilots for a tour and then manually add up plane types squad by squad, country by country....................  I think at least.

Then again, who the heck would actually sit there for 2 months compiling that data set?

Here are my figures:

Bishop: Runstang
Rook: Dweebfire
Knight: Pickninety

I once did a such a thing to get some data on hit% distribution... manually  :lol

Problem #1 would be to get all the names.
#2 is that many players fly on different sides during a tour. You would have to sort them out first via "Kill stats in expanded format", Spatulas tool doesn't show that.

Make a Poll like they did for the voting on the new planes.

Question 1---what country do you fly for?

Question 2---what fighter plane do you fly most of the time?

You can make the questions as in depth as you want. Just a thought, it would count on peoples honesty though.

The human factor, never a good source of factual information.

By this method, you would probably find the Spit XVI being one of the rarest planes in game ;)
