Why on earth make the M3 Glow green?? We are suppose to SNEAK the M3 into a town or V-base, but its no fun when the enemy can see you 4-5k out. The M3 shows up like a bright green dot, you cant hide nor can you run from fighters! Anyway to make this more realistic? For crying outload, you put a great big M3 icon on top of it, at least give the m3 a little cammo!!!

thats why they added the undamaged barns, you can drive a M3 in one of those and they can't get you with bullets.
-
I can also see C47s from 10-15 miles when the sun is at the right angle to them. :D
-
The Ar234 also has a neon colored low LOD model, regardless of the skin it's using.
-
Yeah, the M3's lining glows I think, making it look like it's glowing.
-
It might be that the lighting is disabled at low LODs.
-
I have never noticed anything with a glow, only the icons.
-
For the same reason that the Panzer and Tiger glow orange.
-
Thats the glow from all the BBs furballers who are slightly embarrased that they have been spotted in an M3 trying to... capture a base! Heaven forbid.
-
NOT everyone can see the glowing green m3... Only us reptilians can.. :devil
-
I never noticed the glowing M3, rather, I only saw them glowing orange right before the explosion.

I hate the default skin; you could be behind a damn hedge and the glow from the tank will rise above going "I'm here. Finish me already!".
That's definitely a simple problem. Just spray paint it green and brown spots. :D

If you are at a relatviely low angle to the ground and looking from the sun side of the M3 it will appear brighter then the ground and you can see it further then you would another vehicle.
-
Thats why I told to not pimp your M3 ride, put the neons out already ! :D

I actually think these effects vary greatly from video card to video card. I don't notice the low level-of-detail "glitch" when I'm on my desktop (ATi Radeon 9800 Pro) but I notice it more when I'm on my laptop (nVidia G-Force Go 7200). The higher-end card tends to deal with low LOD better for one reason or another in my experience.

And antialiasing will reduce the glow effect.
