Title: Anyone with a extra vid card?

Buddy of mine is looking for a vid card with S-cable output. Nothing fancy needed, almost anything beats what he has now. Only the s-video is required. Freebies gladly accepted...will pay s&h. PM me if you can help.

Would that be a PCIe card, some flavor of AGP or PCI?

I've got an old AGP 2x/4x RIVA TNT 16 Mb with an s-video out.  Freebie if it works.

web specs on buds computer says AGP x4 x 1 • PCI x 2
so I assume he can go either way?

He'd be better off with an AGP card.  The x2/x4 cards are keyed exactly the opposite of the x4/x8 cards.  If it's the earlier keying then that card I have will work.  Look here:   http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:AGP_&_AGP_Pro_Keying.svg (http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:AGP_&_AGP_Pro_Keying.svg)  The card I have is the 3.3V version (or at least I'm pretty sure it is... I'll have to verify that if he wants it once you know what he needs).

OK.  Let me dig it out.  I'll just ship it.  No need to send $.  It can't be much more than $5.  I'll try to get it out Friday but it might be early next week.  I'll even see if I can locate the driver disc for it.  I know I have it.

[EDIT] Found the card.  First box I looked at.  I think the drivers are on my Dell resource disc (this was the OEM card in my old Dell).  I'll burn them onto a disc for you.

[EDIT 2] After I shut everything down in the office tonight I pulled that card out to take a look as it and it doesn't have a S video out.  It only has a VGA out.  I looked it up on the Internet today from work and it said it had it but mine doesn't.  Sorry.  I'll still send it if he wants it.
