unbelievable what a guy gets for selflessly jumping in front of a truck to save others. I think the cop shold pay the ticket.

Well ... the guy was jaywalking in the first place. He did not run from the sidewalk to the rescue and got hit.

He crossed the street illegaly with his friend to make the 2 old ladies cross, which caused the accident.  :frown: Good itention but still illegal. Make the old ladies cross on a crosswalk, not take the jaywalking shortcut.

The cop is right.

The guy didn't jump.  He was the driver of the bus the women just got off of and was helping them across the street.  He pushed them out of the way and got whacked.  Anyone who has ridden a bus knows not to cross the street in front of or behind the bus and to cross at a corner.

Don't think he should have been necessarily ticketed.  Wait until we hear he has been fired too.
